"Hey, Wakefield, take a walk on the Merseyside"
Dec 2019 • Family
Great performance from Echo and the Bunnymen. Realised the appeal of such an intimate venue. Song after song punctuated by Ian McCullough's interjections, some witty, some mumbled, some bemusement at the enthusiasm at some of the more unusual audience members, but with a recommendation of "I like this gaff", you really can't go wrong.

Well managed event from beginning to end. Good natured audience which seems to be the norm here. My teenage daughter is already a seasoned gig - goer but her first time in Wakefield and a good start. Always room to manoeuvre even when at capacity making for a comfortable night.

Good Evening
Nov 2019
We came to Warehouse23 to watch Definitely Oasis. The door staff were friendly, the crowd was well organised, they even serve 2 pint beers. Good venue to watch live music.

Bad Manners / Ian Dury and the Blackheads
Apr 2019 • Couples
I missed out on Ska when it was especially big, or more accurately left it alone. Still, it's a part of the lives of most people my age so off to see Bad Manners. The atmosphere at Warehouse 23 is good. It's roomy, you can stand, sit if you're there early, dance, get to the bar easily and the performance space is very accessible. Lots of parking nearby, also the train station if you're travelling further. Great acts, I thought. The Blackheads we're a revelation and a great interpretation of a piece of musical history which did not escape me. I'm an "open minded rocker" so I like to give other genres a go. This is a place with a good variety of acts so keep checking whose on. There's bound to be something for you. (Pork pie hat optional)

Awesome little venue
Nov 2018 • Friends
I've been here a couple of times now and I am so pleased there is a venue like this so close to where I live. I have a few trans friends and from the doormen, the staff and even artists my friends are made very welcome with no whispers or stares. I love it here.

What a disappointment
Nov 2018 • Friends
So disappointed, was advertised as soul and Motown event but none of the DJs knew any of the records we requested saying we don t do Commercial Mowtown!!! Very misleading advert.
Would not play 1 record we knew, despite people travelling from far afield like Sheffield, terribly disappointing.
We complained but to no avail, I will not be visiting Warehouse again neither will my friends so very in co operative.
Just feel like we have been duped. 😫

UK Subs minimal 60 set
Nov 2018 • Friends
Good little venue but the Subs only played for 60 mins, Saturday night and 60 mins!! Rip off.
Ramonas good but did no Ramones just own set, not one Ramones song.
So overall a bit disappointing

Paul Young and China Crisis
Mar 2018 • Couples
I rang Warehouse 23 to ask what time it shut. I was told curfew at 11, so I booked a train home. However, after 4 songs, Paul Young had to go off due to sound problems. He was off for over half and hour. The room was packed to capacity and stifling! People were complaining and nothing was been said to us about the problem.

I had to leave early to get my train and Paul was still singing so god knows what I missed - just feel really let down and wasted my money - which my hubby bought me for our anniversary!

Yo
