It is a very nice castle to visit with good grounds, and a good herd of deer, good walk around grounds well worth a visit, plus the owner of Raby castle also owns most of the farms along the waskerly way, all painted white.

its a good day out at any time, nice grounds, interesting house and it has some really good open air theatre during the summer months, a picnic, a bottle of wine and a play or musical performance, a great night out.

The Castle is interesting but the garden is dull , dull , dull. Boring , tired borders that need a revamp and some cash spending on the whole place. The Tea room is overpriced and service haphazard.

Seen a lot of castles during my trips to England, but Raby castle is lovely and small and guiet and calm. Loved it. Not Buckingham Palace but a castle just the same.
