Naturally beautiful, with its golden sand, Sandbanks Beach has been designated by the European Commission as one of the few areas in the United Kingdom which has achieved the highest standard of cleanliness. Sandbanks has held the highly coveted international Blue Flag for the past 24 years and offers a designed area for barbeques and swimmers. New slacklining posts have been installed. Equipment is available to hire from the beach office. Activities at Sandbanks include crazy golf, a children's play area and the Sandbanks Beach Cafe.

The number 50 Wilts and Dorset bus from Bournemouth Station to Swanage stops near to the beach (generally every half hour in the summer). There is a car park next to the beach that holds 550 cars, 5 for disabled use.

We wanted to visit here for a number of years and to be honest it isn't as glamorous as I thought it would be! The property is really lovely, easy to park because it was out of season. The small promenade has no character, the beach is lovely albeit for a sample left by a dog!! No wish to return.

The walk from the car park to the Haven Hotel when the tide is out is really breathtaking. The Old Harry Rocks out to sea and some of the most valuable properties in the world inland make one of the best dog walks on the South coast.

Lovely place to visit anytime of year both daytime and evening. Good car parks whichh get busy in the summer, owned by the National trust. Cafe is good but it does get very busy in the summer so expect delays. End to end is about 2 hours depending how fast you walk there is a public nudist beach in the... More

Even at the end of November, this place is amazing. In fact it may be at its best now, as it would be swamped with tourists during the warmer months. No, in fact I am not going to encourage anyone to come here. It is just too good to be inundated by people. I feel privileged to be here at... More

Best length of sandy beach in England. Glorious open beach. Patrolled swimming areas in season. Good beachside resources. Accessible cafes and hotels. Events include beach polo, volleyball. Beach huts available. Glorious to walk on in the winter, fantastic to swim off in the summer.

Sandbanks is amazing, you can walk along on to other beaches, Shore Road to your right and Branksome Beach, Canford Cliffs on your left. If you're like long walks then carrying on walking to Bournemouth Pier and beyond. Warning the car parks to get full early on in the the summer months. If you look to your left you can... More

Recently in October stayed at one of local hotels in Sandbanks. The view from the hotel room was brilliant. The weather being sunny and warm, we had a full breakfast at one of the beach cafe's. The car park was at a reduced tariff which was pleasant on the pocket. The whole area is a very lovely place to live... More

The best beach to visit on a trip to Poole. Everything I wanted to say has already been said but, as a visitor, I have to say it is one of the best beaches in England for cleanliness, position, facilities and stunning views. It is great to visit any season and our latest trip was on a sunny November morning... More

Beautiful white fine sand. Clean and well maintained prom. Dog friendly beach at one end. Great beach cafe which does an excellent full English breakfast and hot chocolate drinks and cakes, well worth a visit.
