Naturally beautiful, with its golden sand, Sandbanks Beach has been designated by the European Commission as one of the few areas in the United Kingdom which has achieved the highest standard of cleanliness. Sandbanks has held the highly coveted international Blue Flag for the past 24 years and offers a designed area for barbeques and swimmers. New slacklining posts have been installed. Equipment is available to hire from the beach office. Activities at Sandbanks include crazy golf, a children's play area and the Sandbanks Beach Cafe.

The number 50 Wilts and Dorset bus from Bournemouth Station to Swanage stops near to the beach (generally every half hour in the summer). There is a car park next to the beach that holds 550 cars, 5 for disabled use.

Whilst staying in Poole with my partner and our two year old son we headed for a day to Sandbanks beach. We have spent time on many beautiful beaches around the world and are definitely beach people, but Sandbanks really is a genuinely gorgeous beach! Especially for the UK. We did get very lucky with the weather but the sand... More

This is my favourite beach to visit with grandson. We live locally so make as many trips as weather allows. Ideal beach for youngsters, always able to swim. If there are waves, they are small which adds to the fun. Parking is expensive and ice creams. Bring a picnic!

First time to beach in 20 years had a lovely day staff friendly beach clean. Well worth it although I do have to object at the high prices for parking

Went to sandbanks yesterday with my two young boys. Admittedly we arrived after lunch so expected that the car park would be busy but at least controlled in some way. The attendants were wandering around aimlessly in a group and instead of controlling the access based on those leaving, just let large groups of motorist at random intervals, leading to... More

Enjoyed a lovely day at sandbanks beach. Easily accessible by car and open top bus from the chain ferry. Cafes reasonably priced, good toilet facilities and clean beaches.

Parking awful with main car park allowing spaces to be blocked off restricting 8-10 places at height of need and season. Beautiful beaches, clean water usually and safe swim areas with life guards offering children safety on sea sessions this summer. Book up though. Sadly coaches now parking down evening hill in groups early in the morning restricting parking even... More

Yeah essentially sandbanks is one of the most beautiful beaches in the UK which leads into onto one of the best beaches in the UK again, which is Bournemouth. I'm not really sure how long the stress of beach is from sandbanks down to boscombe pier but I'm guessing is a few miles of beautiful sands. Fair amount of good... More

Gorgeous beautiful ocean. Family paradise! Facilities clean and well maintain. Helpful sales of umbrellas and deck chairs should you need them. Would like to see better quality coffee and pastries from the cafes/kiosks for all the yummy mummies.

We spent a day here in july, the beach is very nice and much better than Bournemouth beach. It was very less crowded compared and some nice cafes around the place. If in Bournemouth take a cab / drive hardly 20 mins away.

We walk it. Parking is awful and very expensive unless you turn up at 7am in summer and search for a free spot
