Naturally beautiful, with its golden sand, Sandbanks Beach has been designated by the European Commission as one of the few areas in the United Kingdom which has achieved the highest standard of cleanliness. Sandbanks has held the highly coveted international Blue Flag for the past 24 years and offers a designed area for barbeques and swimmers. New slacklining posts have been installed. Equipment is available to hire from the beach office. Activities at Sandbanks include crazy golf, a children's play area and the Sandbanks Beach Cafe.

The number 50 Wilts and Dorset bus from Bournemouth Station to Swanage stops near to the beach (generally every half hour in the summer). There is a car park next to the beach that holds 550 cars, 5 for disabled use.

29.02.2017 Lovely beach. Best I've seen so far. Plenty of parking though it does get busy in the summer months so get there early. Lovely and clean

Subject: Sandbanks Location: Poole, Dorset, England, United Kingdom, Europe Title: The British Riviera ID#: 462193840 Welcome to Britain's "Riviera!" The place where you bump into celebrity footballers and gape at millionaires' homes with palm trees, while on a jaunt with the kids and wonder if I can afford a cup of coffee at one of those exclusive cafés. The sandy... More

Live hear and love it so had to write about it. Beautiful and safe beaches. Fun for kids and adults alike. Dogs allowed on certain parts. Lovely walks day or night. All water sports activities taking place come rain or shine. Great place to be.

Sandbanks. Supposedly the most expensive piece of real estate in the U.K. Apparently, all the footballers have their second homes here. We had high hopes of a chi -chi high end little seaside town with a great selection of eateries and cafes. Fact. Two eateries (possibly three including the casual looking place next to the beach). No cafes . 4... More

As an all year round dog walker with my two Jack Russells I regularly pop into Jazz Cafe for coffee and cake, prefer the months fron October to April when its a bit quieter but can still be full up on a Winter's day. Dogs on lead are very welcome here, so if you don't like dogs - tough! Very... More
