Poole Harbour and Island Cruise from Poole

96 reviews
Poole is one of Europe’s biggest natural harbors, and the ideal place to go on a sightseeing cruise. Get access to stunning harbor island views that you wouldn’t see from on land, and glide past Corfe Castle, the Sandbanks and Brownsea Island. As you travel, a guide provides fascinating commentary, including stories about how Poole Harbor was formed in the last ice-age.

Dissapointed. Parking £1.50 per hour. Dogs not on leads or being kept under control. Not everyone wants a stranger's muddy dog jumping up at them. Perhaps dog owners do not have the ability to read the signs or they think it does not apply to them.Dog excrement. Rubbish left on the ground. Paths unkept. Social distancing and government guidelines not being observed by visitors. Lovely spring daffodils. Shame that we saw some picked and dropped on the ground . I had not been for a couple of years and shocked at the deterioration in that time. As a Poole resident will not be visiting again.

What a lovely place to wander round and build you Vitamin D - really well looked after, yet not overly so - back to nature in the best possible way. Very impressed with the accessibility for the less abled - who lets face it in outdoor spaces as much as anyone

Took my daughter to the new outdoor play park which was great. Decided a hot coffee on a cold day would be a good idea for the grown-ups so tried the cafe take-away service in the hope that staff attitudes had become a little sunnier these days. Sadly, this was not the case. After being ignored by her initially, the tall, blonde woman could only manage rude and grumpy service. Cafe staff here have always had the reputation of surly but I see it’s reached a whole new level of distain during Covid. I’m not really sure why the staff have chosen to work in hospitality when they are so apparently irritated by customers. The coffee is not great either. I’m afraid I’ll be bringing my flask next time and suggest other visitors do the same.

We visited the park yesterday with 2 very excited grandchildren clutching their Halloween Trail packs which we had downloaded from the website. The packs looked great with lots of interactive stuff for kids but sadly the reality proved different. To our disappointment & amazement there was Absolutely no signage for the trail & even the chap we asked seemed unaware of it. So having trecked round for ages looking for various non existent pumpkins on the Spooky Trail containing a clue to make up the ‘hidden’ word we had no choice but to abandon the idea, apologising to 2 bewildered children & just head for the activity play area.

The allotment area has now been turned into a very special area with restoration. A really good little coffee outlet far better in my opnion than the main cafe near the house.
