Poole Harbour and Island Cruise from Poole

95 reviews
Poole is one of Europe’s biggest natural harbors, and the ideal place to go on a sightseeing cruise. Get access to stunning harbor island views that you wouldn’t see from on land, and glide past Corfe Castle, the Sandbanks, Brownsea Island, and the Blue Lagoon. As you travel, a guide provides fascinating commentary, including stories about how Poole Harbor was formed in the last ice-age.

We had so much fun, but had booked the first session of the day. By the time we were leaving, the queues were really starting to build so we were glad we'd been in the park earlier on.

Awful experience. No social distancing whatsoever, very different to navigate around, not much for toddlers, got told to buy more expensive ticket for my little one as he was over 1m tall but there's no way he could have gone on any of the slides, he was far too young. Very busy even though had to pre book tickets. Left feeling very stressed.

so we came to this establishment seeing as it was coming to the end of the summer. it was my mother, myself, and my two teenage brothers who attended. however, despite being told the numbers were extremely limited and it was online booking only (which we thought would mean it would be a lot quieter and safer), there were almost 200 guests filling the small space, and because of the colder weather outside everyone resorted to hogging the indoor area. social distancing was non-existent - we had a group of loud, obnoxious teenage boys behind us in the queue a few times and they wouldn’t observe the social distancing guidelines, and when this was mentioned to the lady working at the top of the ride we were simply told to “move forward”, and nothing was said to the boys. the rides are fun and there’s a lot for everyone but it was really not ideal seeing as the virus is still apparent and nothing is being done to support or help this. if we visited during “limited numbers”, i’d hate to come during peak times where capacity is full. poorly managed but relatively clean establishment.

Firstly, I have to say that my children had a fabulous time. However, as previous posts have stated the social distancing and general covid safety is virtually non existent. I have sat in the cafe now for 2.5 hours and no tables have been wiped clean for the duration of my stay. Adults, kids and staff are not socially distancing whether in the pool area, cafe or changing rooms. I really appreciate that this is a hard venue to enforce the covid safety rules but some aspects are inexcusable. I am surprised that they are allowed to stay open with such a lack of sticking to rules. Sorry to say that if you are anxious about Covid or vulnerable in anyway..do no come!

End of summer was a blast at splashdown! They have refurbished bits and pieces making us more comfortable... Nice time with kids running around there and rides as usual ... class. Not much crowd as they have restricted a bit i think so.... or its a early 9:00 clock start time. All in all ... lot of fun and safe i would say! Social distancing is a tough thing to maintain and dont know how we can ask others to do as kids are running around!(more adults as well)... Tough to implement but need to live with this! I have seen safety instruction being told but with the water sound, its a really tough to hear!! I would say, they have done their bit but there is no one to insist with the work force they have. All in all, i would say " Fantastic experience"! Keep up this fantastic work and continue for perfection as its continuous improvement process. Thanks for this nice experience!
