My first time at the Fat Cat, what a great pub, looking forward to my next visit. I had a meeting in the area and afterward went for a couple of drinks at the Fat Cat. Its a very friendly and social-able pub with it own character. I great find!

I have visited this Pub many times but not reviewed it until now. This is a haven for Real Ale drinkers. There are many choices of Ale on tap, all of top quality. A couple of pints of Woodforde's Wherry and bag of Scratching is an excellent way to spend an hour or so after work.

A cosy pub on Spring Road. They have takeaway nights where you can bring in your own takeaway which is good because there is a Chinese and Indian across the road.

Real ales, good selection of lagers & ciders too. Busy but not pretentious, which tells you people like going there. No food, but you can have your takeaway delivered to the pub and eat it there. Brilliant idea, especially when there is an Indian & Chinese takeaway within 5 mins of the pub.

We called in whilst waiting for Cinnamon to cook our takeaway. On a Saturday night at 21:00 it was quite busy but we managed to find a table and quickly woofed down a couple of pints. To top it off we bought a flagon of Stout and Cider to take home.

Love this pub!! The fat cat has an ever changing selection of beers on gravity though you'll always find Woodfordes Wherry. You need to try the Scotch Eggs! If you don't fancy Scotch eggs they will let you order a takeaway in to the pub (except on Fridays and Saturday nights). Go here! Drink Beer! Have a Scotch egg!

As always a pleasant afternoon at Fat Cats public house. No loud music no televisions just people enjoying conversation and good beer.

Visited this little pub on a Saturday afternoon and found a good atmosphere and nice beer garden. Being a lager drinker I found they only had one on fraught, so quite disappointing.

It's a shame that you would have to travel so far to find another public house of this calibre because it is the epitome of what a traditional public house should be. It's lack of certain modern standard accoutrements and add ons such as canned music and gaming machines only serve to enhance the atmosphere of this establishment. It is... More
