Baylham House Rare Breeds Farm is in the middle of the beautiful county of Suffolk in Eastern England and is a small livestock farm breeding farm animals that were once common but are now very rare.

It's a great time to bring your whole family to the farm to meet the piglets, feed the goats and let the kids loose in the play area whilst you settle into the calm surroundings with a piece of homemade cake or a cream tea.

We visited with my one year old and compared to other farm trails we have done we thought this was a bit pricey for what they have to offer. There was no info saying why they were rare breeds and not as many animals as we thought. We paid £7 per adult to walk around a large loop. The baby... More

We're sorry to hear you were disappointed by your visit to us and we are especially surprised to hear you found little opportunity to interact. We offer a number of up-close animal encounters each day throughout the summer holidays, including grooming the goats and pigs, feeding the chickens, hunting for eggs and cuddles with our bunnies. Moreover, nearly all of... More

The car park is 400 yards away from the farm, however to entertain the children there is a balance beam for the kids to walk on, and the kids can play 'POOH sticks' (winnie the pooh game) where the 2 streams are. The farm itself has a designated picnic/play area and café. They offer daily animal encounters meeting rabbits, cows,... More

Me and my son have visited a lot of farms and this is the only one he has talked about for weeks. Staff are very friendly and helpful, all the animals look well, cared for and plenty of space for them to live in. My son particularly loves the pigs and throwing food into their mouths. If anyone asks me... More

My wife and I took our two grandchildren here, yesterday, and all four of us thoroughly enjoyed the experience. On entry, we were informed that feeding sheep and goats, by hand, was encouraged, and throwing food to other animals was fine. We were then give two bags of animal feed, and sent on our way to enjoy the contact with... More

My partner and I took our twins aged 1 to the farm and had a great time. Plenty for them to see and do, a baby goat even came and sat with us on the bench. Lots of hand washing facilities around. We had lunch before we left, very reasonable prices and friendly young ladies serving us. Good baby changing... More

Went here for the first time today. When we first arrived we were a little confused as it just looked like a little farmyard, however this was a real lesson in never judge a book by its cover! It has the most amazing rare breed pigs and sheep, lovely to see and lovely to be able to feed by hand... More

This is a super place to introduce little ones to farm animals. Our 18 month old grand daughter was captivated by the baby goats in particular which wander freely. There are plenty of animals to see and it is possible to get very close to many of them. We all enjoyed feeding the animals with the food provided by the... More

This is one of my favourite places to visit. I love seeing all of the animals & interacting with them. Lambing season is fab as you can hold, cuddle & bottle feed lambs. It's lovely for a walk around the fields & along the river. Take your wellies if it's been raining as it can get very muddy!
