Visited the Leisure Pool with my partner and another couple to catch up and have a bit of fun. Very standard childrens area taking up the majority of the pool and a deeper end with a mediocre wave machine. Stayed for apporx. 2 hours before getting bored and hungry and leaving. Private showers were free for use (which is helpful if you have to be presentable after the visit) and a vanity area with pay-to-use hairdryers that cost 20p for around 5 mins of full blast usage. The centre also has what a friend calls the "human hairdryer" which is a device that you stand inside, pay a pound and dries you via heat and air from the front and back. If you enjoy the company of the people you are with, this is a nice activity to pass an hour or two. Not much in the way of activities for 16+ other than the odd inflatable ball. Good company is a must for this simple but effective pool.

I swim there every day and although people have commented about the cold water temperature in the competition pool, it is the right temperature for exercise. The changing rooms are a good size to fit everyone in. When I had broken my toe, the lifeguards were very helpful and helped me right away. In my opinion I think that the quality of the changing rooms and the pools are better than standard. It's a good option for a family day out or a play date with friends.

My recommendation is go swimming in the local river you’ll probably live longer. What a dump Ipswich Council should be ashamed. The changing rooms where dirty with bit of paper arm bands everywhere, a few bloody plasters and the nappy bin over flowing, but I had already told little one we were going swimming. Get in the pool it was like a refugee boat had capsized just so many people in quite a small leisure pool. Find a space that little one could paddle and splash when a big green lung oyster graced our space which then stuck to littles ones swim shorts. Got out showered in Dettol came home burnt his swim shorts and both sat down for nice a Hepatitis jab. Thanks Ipswich council for a really good experience.

We came to Crown Pools today as my daughter had a swimming competition. The pool is ok, the changing rooms where clean and tidy. What let the place down is no cafe or hot drinks machine so you have to go next door to weatherspoons for a coffee. They do have cold drinks and snack vending machines.

Travelled and paid to be given a wristband with no indication what it was for. Only to get in the pool and an hour later being told to get out as our time was up. £13.70 for an hour and two very unhappy children.
