For those who enjoyed the humour of Giles' cartoons over the years, this little group featuring his loveable characters will be a great reminder of the man's comic and poinient genius. It is fitting that Grandma is looking up to where her creator used to be seen at work.

We came across the Giles Statue by accident and were really taken with it. All the characters are there and looking just as they do in the cartoons. It's a nice open space where people can sit and admire the statue and it brings a smile to your face as you wander through the centre of Ipswich.

This is my favourite statue, there is no admission feel you can just walk right up and see it, occasionally there is a wild pigeon or two hanging around, an added bonus

Really love this statue. Is the site that reminds me of Ipswich. Really lovely area of Ipswich. Situated near the office that Giles himself use to work from!

The statue of Granny stands below the office window where Giles created his cartoons. It is just of the Main Street in a fast developing area which is rapidly losing its' character.

Well I have walked past this a couple of times and not really given it much attention until last week when I was in Ipswich. Nice statue, and a nice town

This statue is a tribute to that superb cartoonist, Carl Giles and the wonderful family which he created. It has recently been moved to a much better position and is now an important part of the town centre. I always make a point of visiting it whenever I am in Ipswich.
