Visited this area as part of my evening stroll after a long day. I enjoyed the cobbled stone streets, the paintings and photos displayed on the hoardings (some works happening). It was quiet and uncrowded. Passed a few people cycling, walking or like me simply strolling. I didn't visit any of the eateries but saw quite a few were full... More

I am leaving there and I will never get bored of this view, the walk there and the life. There are a lot of restaurants, on budget or more "expensive" one, few pubs.. the only thing missing is more coffee places

The waterfront in Ipswich has come a very long way since it's very ugly beginnings. The waterfront now looks like something you would find on the embankment of London. It looks really modern and clean and there's lots of restaurants to choose from around this area. The parking is also very reasonable I would recommend you to come visit the... More

It is an ideal setting. an arching cobblestone street along the harbour. It was a relaxed atmosphere. In general, I didn't find the restaurants in the area that good, with the exception of the Salthouse Harbour Hotel. A bit difficult to get a taxi as this area is south of the the main part of Ipswich. If you have measure... More

We had a superb barge trip earlier this summer with a super meal on board. This was indeed excellent value and we will be back. The barge was named VICTOR and the food was supplied by two lovely ladies trading as Taylor-Maid Catering Ltd.

Gorgeous area with lots of places to eat, just needs to have the last few buildings updated to reflect the wonderful surroundings

I don't care how old you are, water and boats have always facinated me. As my wife was in town I took my young grand son to thw water front to see the various boats on hand and just enjoying the "new" look to the Ipswich Wsterfront. Many coffee shops and places to eat or drink now are on hand... More

Over the last 30 years or so the Waterfront area has gone through quite a lot of change but alas what we have now is an isolated area with no easy and pleasant route to the town centre shops! The design of which looks like it was undertaken by a two year old who just tipped his toy box upside... More

In the summer months the waterfront is heaving as its a lovely walk from one end to the other, they do sometimes have events go on throughout the year, plenty of bars and restaurant's and cafes to choose from when walking along, plenty of parking places, but still needs updating in parts, as the wine rack as they call it,...
