I attended a tour of Ipswich history and learnt a lot about the underground tunnels in the war, the architecture and so much more. Now a shop for kitchen ware and gifts. Worth a visit

Not sure why the Ancient House is mentioned on Tripadvisor. As far as I am aware, the public no longer have access to the historical part of the Ancient House which makes this simply town centre building. Good if you like buying fancy icecube containers...More

The building is accessible the former use being a well valued bookshop, changed some years ago to Lakeland Plastics, both ground and first floors are multi level with lots of rooms. Impressive staircase and ceilings, well worth a look, and externally at the the pargeting.

The exterior of this building is beautiful, inside it is a delight to wander around the many rooms. However if you are unsteady on your feet it might not be so easy to negotiate and the stairs could be diificult. Having said this if you...More

A lovely building from the outside and the current owners have made a minimum of adaptions to accommodate their large range of stock items. Staff incredibly helpful and knowledgeable.

An amazing medieval building with probably the finest par getting you will find. In Ipswich town centre it currently operates as a Lakeland shop, so wonder inside whether you need their products or not - though I always find Lakeland shops have something to discover!...More
