We saw a fantastic collection of vehicles and many other artefacts, most of them having a local relevance. Unlike some museums, you are encouraged to climb aboard many of the old vehicles and this brought back great memories of travelling during the 1950s. The stewards...More

Lots of items to interact with. Not enough space around the train track which most children wanted to use. Dated interior overpriced would have been better to charge under £10 for a mother and one child, as that would probably have secured a return visit....More

It seems that this museum is run entirely by volunteers but the place and the vehicles were all in tip top condition. There were vehicles of all shapes and sizes from perambulators to trolley buses and everything in between with every one having a board...More

A great visit for the children to see and sit in the displayed various forms of transport, and great for the older visitors to bring back memories.

We went on an event Sunday and had two rides out on heritage buses. There was plenty of opportunities to access the vehicles in the museum which the children loved. Small area for children’s activities including a train set and a bus to play in....More

This is a fantastic regional transport museum with a thoughtful range of exhibits including some lovingly renovated vehicles. We found the volunteers who run the museum really welcoming and helpful. Well worth a visit if you are in the area - easy parking nearby.

My favourite was the model railway. But there is lots of items in the exhibition. Train, carriages, fire engines, cars and even building vehicles. Staff are friendly and welcoming and knowledgeable. Good place.
