Loved the theatre not so large so don't think there'd be a bad seat anywhere. There was decent leg room too. The band was amazing as always. I've seen James Hunter & the guys in many different venues, I thought they were very comfortable here. We ate in the cafe bar before the show and enjoyed the food. Staff were... More

Thanks so much for your kind review. I'm so happy to see that you had such an enjoyable visit! I do agree that The James Hunter Six provided a great performance. It's great that we too impressed you with our service, food and seating. Although you aren't local to Ipswich, I do hope we will have the chance to welcome... More

Pre booked and pre paid pre show meal for four. Lovely, friendly service, disappointing food. The veggie option was well thought out and well received, the chicken burger option and pasta dish were frankly not worth half the cost. Pudding was ok. Will return for a show, but not to eat.

I'm truly sorry to heat that we let you down with your recent pre-show meal. I see you noted that the service was lovely and friendly, but the food was not to the high standard you rightly expect. There's no doubt about the fact that we expect to provide you with excellent food, and I am sincerely sorry that on... More

Absolutely brilliant rock'n'roll pantomime at the New Wolsey. Had all of us in stitches (a group of 20-50+ year olds)! All the staff and performers were excellent, whatever seat you sit in you get a great view of the stage. And I highly recommend buying some ice cream in the interval - absolute heaven!!

Thank you so much for your kind review. It's great to hear the Sword In The Stone was a hit with all ages in your group - pantomime is truly a genre with universal appeal. You're quite right that we are fortunate enough to have fantastic views from all seats, and it's great to see that a warm welcome come... More

Too quality show with usual panto audience involvement. Musicians and singer's were excellent. Staying is ideal with theatre facilities to match. Top night out.

What a superb evening! This will be our regular venue for our winter Panto from now on. The Sword in the Stone Rock 'n roll Panto was brilliantly funny and all at New Wolsely made the evening, reception, ushers, ice cream vendors and bar staff were all so friendly and cheerful..... OH YES THEY ARE..!

Attended this years rock and roll panto of sword in the stone with my Guide Unit I lead. This is our second year of attending. Fabulous show!! Better than last years production. Amazing song choices, special effects, music and acting. The girls all loved the performance getting involved with dancing, singing and the normal panto humour. Would recommend the rock... More

There is no other pantomime like this ... fantastically written by Peter Rowe, with a brilliantly multi-talented cast who all took the 'rock energy' with the 'laugh-out-loud humour' to another level. Hysterically funny and tunefully irresistible, this is definitely a show for the whole family. A great performance by the extremely talented Sandy Grigelis, (King Arthur/Sprout). Our family are all... More

Every time we visit we always have a great evening out. The Silver Sword was excellent and recreated the book I had read as a child exactly. Have booked at least five productions for the spring season.

Thank you for leaving your review! I'm glad you enjoyed The Silver Sword - it was one of my favourite stories and I have fond memories of reading the book as a child. The performance certainly was excellent and the response from our audiences was great! It's great to see you've booked for plenty more in the spring season -... More
