No need to book in.

Went to use family history section. Bit of hassle getting onto there web site. Staff helped. Good quiet section to work in (allowing for chapbook snoring over the newspaper).

Such nice helpful people

The staff here are most helpful and seem interested in what you want and order. If they don't have it then they have always done their very best to find what is needed. The email reminders are super because you know exactly when your order has arrived. A good selection and certainly plenty of computers to use for free. Thanks folks for everything.

Local History Section

Hubby and I popped in here on a recent Thursday afternoon. This 3 storey high building was opened in 1910. The interior is now light and modern. We noticed that it had free wi-fi and approx. 20 public computers. We particularly liked the local history section. We walked up and down the stair case but there was a lift available. The Tourist Info Board is not on the ground floor any more. It has moved into the Victoria Shopping Centre.

Super library in an old traditional building, but very modern inside. It looks as if it's just been remodelled, all the books are new.

Nice Place to Stop and Recharge

I recently spent a few days in Llandudno for my birthday. While there, I followed the White Rabbit town tour app, which begins at the library. When the app was made, the building also contained the tourist information centre though that's since moved.

Although I wasn't able to become a member of the library, I found it a very pleasant place to sit and write in my diary while charging my phone and making use of the free wifi. The library has some great quotes about the power of reading on the walls, including some from Dr Who. The toilets are kept locked, so you need to obtain the key from the desk. This means they're a bit cleaner than most public toilets!

While there, I noticed that the library uses the BorrowBox app for ebooks and audiobooks. My local library (Greater Manchester) uses the same app. I've found it to have an excellent selection, with all the features of Audible (i.e., multiple speeds up to 3x, etc).

Now local and the first thing I did was get a Library ticket. Everyone very helpful and lots of computers. If I order a book then it's in my hands within days...thank you. Picked up lots of local info and unexpectedly great books. Children's events regularly. Most importantly clean modern toilets. Highly recommend. Thanks.

Camperdown Elm's

A rare survival of a pair of Camperdown Elms with circular seating out side a classic exterior of an Andrew Carnegie library .
