20p Toilets
Feb 2018 • Couples
Hubby and I walked through here on a recent Tuesday. Most of the garden area has been replaced with half a dozen coin-operated toilet kiosks which cost the user 20p!

Under repair

Some of the gardens were cordoned off (mid August) but is normally an attractive place. The March Hare is the big feature.

Defunct public conveniences.
May 2017 • Couples
Hubby and I walked through this small triangular pedestrianised area on Wednesday afternoon. There is a cleverly carved wooden sculpture of the white rabbit (Alice in Wonderland) by Simon Hedger. There was a colourful wild flower display. However, the "gardens" are let down by the defunct underground public toilets and disabled lift.

Nice small open space
Apr 2017 • Couples
Small little garden situated at the intersection of Mostyn Street and Mostyn Broadway, we visted early afternoon Wednesday 26th April.

The statue of March Hare, part of the Alice in Wonderland trail, is situated in the Gardens.

There were some colourful seasonal flowers and bushes planted around the beds in the gardens. There were a number of benches around the Gardens, to sit and relax, people watch. We were lucky enough to enjoy some sunshine while we ate our take away chips, from Barnacles across the road (reviewed separately).

The underground public toilets, with its nice meatal work above ground, have not been used for a long time and are rather nasty, if venturing down the steps. Think the gates should have been closed, but were open so visitors were going down the steps.

'London, North Western Railway Gardens' Aka 'Bog Island'
Jul 2016 • Family
How can one describe in a public website one's experience (s) in a public toilet ????
They're cheap, clean(relatively)and useful for weary travellers - all of the local bus services stop nearby. But their location shown on google maps is incorrect. They're a five minute walk away from the location shown (This might make a difference to the 'needy' !!)
When you visit, go to see the nearby art gallery which stages wonderful exhibitions and has a great cafeteria.

Gardens? Really! not apt Title!
Aug 2015 • Family
May historically been grand gardens but now its a pedestrianised area with planting some sparse grass and a couple of sculptures oh nearly forgot the underground Toilets that are surrounded by some lovely iron work. These toilets open 9.30 – 17.00 7 days a week with some exceptions and have an attendant also have won awards for their cleanliness access for Disabled users is via a lift but on our visit we found it to be broken down and had not been repaired for a while. Please note there is a 20 pence charge for use of these toilets.
For those who have shopped to they have dropped help is at hand there a number of benches around the garden area to rest a while.

Lovely to sit out of the wind.
Aug 2015 • Couples
We like sitting here because it's out of the wind easy to get to and near the 20p toilets. The place is always busy but there are enough seats and space for everyone.

refused entry to bog island!!!!!!
Jun 2015 • Family
I took a party of eleven 2 to 5 year old children with their parents and carers, we had travelled 2 hours to get there and some of the children were desperate, went to these so called public toilets to be refused entry! Apparently there were too many of us even though we offered to pay and were very rudely turned away, luckily a lovely lady at nearby cafe indulgence was very accommodating and allowed us to use their facilities and have a cuppa too.
