About
St John's Methodist Church is housed in a beautiful listed building on Llandudno's vibrant Mostyn Street, right at the heart of the town. It enjoys a reputation for sound preaching, good singing and a warm welcome for the many visitors who join us during the holiday season. The church was built in 1866 as part of a special drive to establish churches in the new holiday resorts of Victorian Britain. In the 1990s the church was beautifully restored - it is noted for its wooden ceiling and glorious modern stained glass windows. We are also wellknown for our male voice choir concerts, held on Tuesdays and Thursdays throughout the holiday season. Worship is at 11am every Sunday, and the church is also open to visitors on Thursday afternoons after our healing service at 1:45pm, and on Friday mornings when we hold our coffee mornings with extra-delicious homemade cakes...

Twice recently a friend and I enjoyed listening to the AWESOME Harmony Singers. Their performances were a delight, the music varied from show songs to more modern artists songs, including Queen, Abba and other well known artists and hits! How wonderful in this greed orientated society we live in, to find such talented warm fun loving group of 'extremely talented' people as these artists who can bring such joy to others! I was also so impressed that the money raised from their seasonal shows which amounted to well over £4,000, was distributed to several worthwhile local charities, well done Harmony, I can't wait for next May to hear you again! I was feeling very low and miserable today. Went into this church as I often do when visiting Llandudno. Pray and healing service due to begin at 1.45. So pleased I waited. Lovely service and the lady officiating was so kind, offered special prayers for my Mum, Husband and for myself. I really appreciated her kindness and her understanding. She really understood my situation and I felt uplifted by her. I like very this Church and the people, they are always so welcoming. Thank you to you all

Have been to two concerts here both to see Male Voice Choirs and have enjoyed them both. A touch of Wales ... lovely evening and of course a reason to visit Llandudno...

Arguably Llandudno's most high profile church on account of the fact it's located between the two Marks & Spencer stores on Mostyn Street in the town centre. During the summer months it plays host to local Male Voice Choirs so it also plays it's part in the tourism industry. It's an impressive and well maintained building and an ideal place to take in a bit of the local culture.

Have visited this beautiful church before to watch the Welsh male choirs. It is not to be missed. The church has a stained glass window like no other and the people are very welcoming I cannot wait to go again.wish they were on in winter as we coming back to llandudno then. We are going to call at the coffee morning before we go home.

Went on a Monday evening to see the show,it was the last in the season of the Monday means Music evenings. Excellent show with the fabulous"Tracy Nolan" solo's. After 2 hours on a church pew, I needed the comfort of a Wetherspoons bar stool.

We saw the sigb outside welcoming people for morning coffee in the church hall. Made so very welcome by Volunteers one of which sat and chatted with us providing some very interesting details about the Church.
Coffee very nice. Homemade cakes delicious and allso reasonably priced. Church very comforting and worth a visit. Went one evening to hear all male choir. What a beautiful evening. Choir absolutely amazing with a wide variety of music, songs and hymns. All for £6. Worth every penny. Will definitely visit again

Went to morning worship whilst on holiday. Had visited the church after a healing service several years ago and promised to return if I ever re-visited Llandudno. Today was the day. Friendly greeting from door stewards and the arrangements for the service seemed very efficient. Not quite as friendly it seems on leaving. No-one spoke but it may be that I was surrounded by other visitors. Although we were advised that tea and coffee was available in the hall, no-one told us how to find the hall so I eventually ended up in Costa instead!

Thank you for your very helpful feedback. Your comments have now been passed on to all welcomers in the church and also to the congregation as a whole so that we can be more aware at the close of worship to ensure visitors are engaged in conversation and encouraged to go over for refreshments - the layout of our church means it is not obvious where to go and we try to give clear guidance at the start of the service where possible. You are right that we do get a lot of visitors, and we want to keep it that way!
