We spent an enjoyable day on the sandy part of this beach next to the pier. The sandy part is tiny compared to the pebbly part though, and even on the sandy part there are a lot of stones - particularly as the tide goes out. Unfortunately our visit seemed to coincide with that of a large number of jellyfish,... More

Llandudno is a really attractive seaside town with wide promenades but the small beach has a lot of sharp stones/ shells (okay it is a beach but there are better!) which left a lot to be desired. This probably wouldn't have bothered the children and I too much but the large amounts of seaweed and plentiful numbers of jelly fish... More

The North Shore differs from the rest of the bay mainly because of its central point of various well known hotels, restaurants, and meeting points. Weather permitting, the beach is nice "enough" to spend an afternoon catching some sun, or picking up a boat ride on either the speed boat they have there, or the family boat that is also... More

£75 fine if you take your dog on the beach... Poor signage and feel like they are targeting tourists... happened to me and 3 other families within 10mins.

We love Llandudno, we stay for weekends or go for days out, we always find something or somewhere new to look at or eat out.Today we sat on the beach and watched the world go by for a couple of hours.

We visited Llandudno for the weekend with my 2 children and 2 dogs. We are aware that dogs aren't allowed on some beaches so my husband started his walk with the dogs on the far end of the beach near the kids lido/paddling pool. There is no communication at this end saying you can't have dogs on the beach. We... More

It is with anger and regret that I have to write this. I've visited Llandudno since I was a child and had many happy memories. I won't be visiting again!! Myself and my partner arrived, parked, walked to 'dog friendly' hotel, left a rucksack as check in was at 3pm and we were early, walked out and crossed road. We... More

I love Llandudno but on a very recent visit on 2nd June I have to say that I feel really sorry for the resort with what has happened to the beach. It has always been a bit rocky but there was in the past actual sand on it, certainly enough for bucket and spade days out and a clear path... More

A small sandy section closest to the Pier, with the rest seemingly being rocky. Very tidy and the sand is lovely and soft, with no dogs allowed on the beach area.

Not a great deal of sand till you get to the Great Orme end and it seems to change from day to day. It is a very long beach with plenty of benches. The promenade is flat, so it is wheelchair-accessible.
