Small but full of historic information about Llandudno

A small but interesting museum. No good for disabled as no lift. Only stairs. Covers the history of Llandudno very well. Skeletons from 5,500BC. Allow about 2 hrs.

It appears that until the Llandudno Museum was formed a lot of the historical artifacts from this area had been removed from the area to other museums, and in particular a 5500 year old skeleton name Blodwen had been taken to a Lancashire museum wherein an amature trusty of virtually destroyed it by washing it in their household washing machine!

Hiding beneath the great orme lies a fantastic little museum just waiting to be explored. It offers a glimpse into the history of this lovely town, we like to think of it as a teaser to make you go out and pick up a trail of history in and around Llandudno itself. A small entrance fee allows you access to... More

Having visited Llandudno many times in the past, the museum seemed to be one we'd always walked past. However, having decided to go in this visit, we were fascinated with the long history of old settlements & artifacts from explorations on the Great Orme. Well worth adding to your to-do list.

Quite interesting place to spend about an hour+ depending on your interests, best part was info about Blonwyn, remains found on the Little Orme

Llandudno Museum is well worth a visit to see the oldest piece of Welsh art - a decorated horse's jaw bone and Blodwyn - a prehistoric skeleton. There is also a range of interesting artefacts from the area.

We stayed at the Wedgwood hotel and they gave us a card to present at the museum to get in free. It looks small from outside and admittedly we walked by it twice without realising it was there. Once inside the history of Llandudno draws you in.

Make sure you go and see Llandudno's oldest resident, Blodwen! Really interesting to find out more about the towns history.

We drove round and round and round for about 30mins trying to find a parking space (my mum is disabled) . Didn't find one, disappointed as the museum had been recommended to us.
