Wonderful extensive gardens with free entry and panoramic sea views. Wander through the winding, uphill paths, or simply sit on a bench and admire the views. Had a walk uphill, and rested on a bench for a chat and sea views. What a great park, I had no idea it was there before and I've been to Llandudno several times. A variety of plants, flowers and trees adorn the gardens and some work is currently being carried out. An Alice in Wonderland theme will delight the children and any literary fans, as there are several characters to lookout for. A cafe makes a welcome stop for an ice cream, coffee, tea or piece of cake. The only bad point is the public toilets...sadly like most public conveniences you feel as though you need an exorcism after you have used them...

(Please note, this was a review from 2018 that was sitting in my drafts and forgot to post.)
If you are a visitor to Llandudno like we were, then you should visit the Happy Valley Gardens to take home those memorable pictures. If you’re a fan of Alice in Wonderland like my wife is, then you would appreciate the wooden carved (by chainsaw) statues dotted around the park as they are through the whole town. Excellent views of the Llandudno Pier, walk up the hill by the chairlift station and grab some more photos of the town and esplanade. If you don’t go, I reckon you’re missing out and it’s free.

We spent a good part of a day at Happy Valley. The gardens were really lovely and lots of space for my son to run around.
We went on the donut & toboggan and both were lots of fun - highly recommend! The staff at the ski slope area were all very friendly and helpful, especially the young lady working at the donut ride - she was really lovely with my 6 year old son. She interacted with him so nicely and took time to explain what would happen/how fast he wanted to go etc so a big thank you to her.
I look forward to going back to Happy Valley again in the future.

Rather sadly this place has gone in to serious decline since we were last here a few years back. All of the wonderful Alice in wonderland wood carvings are beyond repair, some are so crumbled it's hard to recognise what they once were.
Temporary railings keep people away from the crumbling wood carvings. We did not venture all the way up into the gardens right at the top but no doubt they are neglected also.
The cafeteria however is still open and we had a nice cup of tea and cake.

A lovely place, nice gardens most of the year. Better when there's not too many people, or inconsiderate dog owners around. Great views. Nice place to sit and contemplate. The paths are rather steep though so can be a struggle for anyone with mobility issues.

My wife and myself are currently holidaying in Llandudno and earlier today we visited Happy Valley Gardens which is a 10-15 minute walk from the town end of the Promenade.
It is a good place to go for a break or to take some photos of both the town and surrounding areas.
We had planned to use it as a stepping stone for the nearby Cable Car Station but, unfortunately, strong winds have again closed the operation for the day!

Well kept and interesting public gardens, stretching quite steeply uphill.
A very pleasant place to sit as well, with lovely views over the bay.
However, avoid having a coffee from the cafe at the bottom, where we had probably the worst cappuccino ever made. It was just a cup of hot. And quickly got thrown into the nearest bush.

This is a great little garden to sit and read take in the views and watch the world go by. It is so beautiful. The views over the to the Little Orme . You can also see the pier. Straight in front of us was a nice stone circle. Just go and relax.

Lovely place to go and relax! Offers something for everyone, you can sit on the grass or benches and watch over the sea / shore or you can look in the other direction and watch the cable cars! There is plenty of room for children to let off some steam and a play park! There is public toilets and a cafe serving delicious ice cream. Additionally, this is a good starting point for some walks as you can walk in many different directions from here and see different things depending which way you choose. Finally if you visiting during the spring/summer months the flowers are in full bloom and offers a picturesque view :)

Visited here on our way to Llandudno Ski Slope and the top of the Great Orme. Beautifully well maintained gardens with fantastic views of Llandudno, it's pier and sweeping promenade, Little Orme and on our sunny and clear day, the Cambrian coast and mountains. Plenty of places to sit and relax and watch the world go by. A charming 'paradise' and worth a visit.

Written July 23, 2019
There is plenty space to site on grass areas and I've also seen families with picnics around a couple of tables.

Hi is this park within walking distance of the boat trips so could possibly leave car there after our lunch and walk down ? Or is there a car park near the boat trips , traveling with elderly ,cannot walk for long
Written August 26, 2018
It’s not too far away it’s a 10 minute walk from the pier but there is a smal car park .
The park is on an incline but a gently winding paths takes you through the beautiful ground and there’s benches along the path .

there was dog there when we were ,never saw any goats .

Hi. I'm sorry I don't know. But would recommend you contact Llandudno council or one of the local churches. Hope this helps.
