Surprisingly, we were all given a torch for this museum. This was an excellent touch as the museum was dimly lit, although it was completely adequate, but it enabled us to read things more clearly. There was so much to see and for children and indeed adults who were lucky enough not to have to experience the war years, it... More

Quite a small museum but plenty to see and experience. At the beginning you step through an old front door into a wartime living room, complete with cats sleeping (not real ones) on the chair! Then some background noises while you walk around the exhibits set out like shop windows. So there was a women's clothing window, complete with wartime... More

Extensive museum of WW II memorabilia. So well done, with lots of interesting information. Nicely presented and interactive exhibits. All ages will find this museum interesting. Very nicely done!

We saw this on Len Goodman's recent holiday television programme. It is tucked away on a side street but not far from the Mostyn Street shopping area. The cost was just over £6 for the two of us and this represents excellent value. The displays are well set out and the materials excellent. It provides a great insight into the... More

Clean, tidy, smart, welcoming, just the job for filling in an afternoon or a couple of hours. After the warm greeting from the enthusiastic owner we wander through the war-time exhibits. For oldies it's real nostalgia reminding us of the peasant life we used to live. For the young ones it's a real-time education about what the war was like... More

Inexpensive museum with tableaux displays about life in Britain during WW2. What makes it different is the torch you're given to peek at the displays and the timed audio. When you enter you hear the radio announcement that Britain is at war. When.you enter the Anderson shelter you hear the bombs raining down.

The museum is tucked away down a side street and is built within the old fire station. It is owned and run by a charming chap who started his collection when he was a young child. The museum takes you back to war time and explains what life was like using artefacts and simple language which meant my ten year... More

We saw an advert on a leaflet up in the Llandudno ski resort and decided to pop in here on our way home (we had no idea it existed). Down a little back street and tucked away, very cheap entry and although a tiny museum there was so much to see and learn. My mum (65) loved it, My 6... More
