    Good place for a walk
The good news is that this pier is free of entry charges and the views are excellent. On the other hand the raucous muic and the numerous opportunities to by rubbish souvenirs of China are best avoided. The pier does its best not to look too rundown!

A great walk out over the sea
A must-do at the seaside is to walk along the pier. Llandudno's pier is a good length and there are lots to see and do along its length. Amusements at the start, shops later and then a long walk to the cafe and bar at the end. Fresh seaside air too.

    Our special Pier
The Pier is a 'must' on every visit to Llandudno. the owner maintains it to a high standard . This week's visit was even more special as hundreds of visitors walked along to greet The Waverley Paddle steamer .Let's hope this will be a recurring event

    Nice but mostly closed
We visited at about 7.30pm last Saturday. We checked online to see if the pier would still be open. Apparently it closed at 10.30 according to the website. In reality, only a fraction of the attractions were open despite there still being a good amount of people still around. We were a little disappointed to be honest. We did love the big wheels though. The toilets on the pier were disgusting!

    Charming.
Loved our evening stroll on Llandudno pier! Old fashioned and traditional, you can almost imagine what it was like years ago. There are loads of little shops on the pier but they were all closed when we were there. Amusement arcades, a bar and a small funfair all add to the charm Ing atmosphere.

    Splendid Seaside Attraction
Well maintained and looked after pier! Lots of attractions to entertain children such as hook a duck, slides, bouncy castles and go karts! Also lots of stalls for adults to have a wonder around including record shops, souvenirs, gifts and posters shops. Also a selection of food kiosks, offering standard fish & chips, icecream but there is also seafood stalls, cheese stalls and pie stalls! Pub at the end serving both alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages. Fishing passes can be purchased cheap from the kiosk and fishers can then have access to the fishing platform at the end of the pier! Views around the pier are breathtaking of happy valley.

One of the major local Attractions
My wife and myself are currently holidaying in Llandudno staying at the impressive Dunoon Hotel ((Review to follow) and earlier today we visited the nearby Llandudno Pier. It is not only a nice place for a walk but must be one of the UK’s longest Piers. Not only that - unlike some other Piers I have visited (ie Brighton) - there’s no entrance fee so well worth visiting.

    A really lovely pier.
We walked to the end of the pier twice during our recent stay in lovely Llandudno,as-well as the amusement arcades there are some sellers selling some unusual things to buy as-well as your usual seaside items to buy,and also food & drink outlets. There is a bar and lots of seating right at the end of the pier. This is well worth a walk down to the end of the pier, such lovely views, and just a really really lovely pier. We bought some Welsh Gin from one of the sellers on there & some unusual gifts from a little outlet shop of there an artist that makes some unique pictures & other items.A must visit if you are in Llandudno.

A happening place in busting Llandudno
What a fun-filled happening place this is! We were fortunate to experience a lovely sunny day and we walked right to the end of the pier, which stretched 700 meters out into the Irish Sea. The ferris wheel compartments were being filled with happy holiday makers, the ice cream vendors were doing a roaring trade and the children were going on every ride and activity imaginable. After seeing so many people enjoying all the activities on offer, it was awful to see the scenery spoilt by so many wind turbines located right out in the sea! What an eyesore!

A fabulous stroll with interesting things to see.
Go early in the morning as there are less tourists in general and its a bit quieter. Lovely pier to wander along, little booths with little shops in them, little fairground rides for children, fresh cooked donuts, amusement arcades, and stunning views along the prom giving you a feel of being present at an earlier point in history. We were impressed with the pier, there was very little litter, the staff were all very polite and not at all pushy, unlike some other costal resorts.

I have been going to the pier for over 40 years and today appalled by what I have seen . No social distancing at all at the entrance and at the children rides . Everybody rammed in felt like a rave you see on Tv . Queues to get in arcades with no actual control other than at the door, inches between those in the queue . No pier employee marshalling or walking the pier at all , but a able to man the toilets to charge people 50p to use . The council should be appalled by what I have witnessed today . I’m not the first person on this site to point out poor controls .

It is a bottle neck of people not wearing masks or trying to social distance. High touch areas everywhere and didn't feel safe so left the area. Didn't even make it onto the pier due to the sheer amount of people!

I think the pier attractions are managed by incompetent people who are possibly scamming their audiences! We attended as a family purchased 10 tokens and following a short ride on a train that was stopped due to weather we were hounded along the pier for a token as we gad apparently short paid ! I found the lady’s approach accusing and we assured her that we had paid 6 tokens (3 each child x2) which seemed to fall on deaf ears, as apparently the manager had sent her as we had short paid ! How about the ride being cut short... how about an offer of a refund !

I would NOT choose to go here. And during covid, there was no attempt to clean after each passenger on the rides and staff were miserable and rude.

As for the arcades - I would not go near, the place was busy and looked dirty. Save your money, stay safe and stay away if I were you. Would not return!

Visited lots of times. Our son enjoyed the rides although I feel £1 per ride is plenty and I think more people would go on them. rides £2-£4 each. There are Covid procedures in place like keeping to a certain side and signs and posts to remind people but not many were following it. A fee for the toilets is now in place which I wouldn’t mind but one I
Went on had no toilet roll in. There was a female manning the male toilets and male manning then females looking straight in which I thought was very weird. Overall though lovely visit and my 5 year old loved it.

Been visiting Llandudno for 30+ years and little has changed on the pier. Everyone we visit we cannot go home without a stroll on the pier. Clear instructions and signage in the current climate are great and even here trying hard to encourage social distancing.

Very very clean. Lots to do on the pier but could do with the empty units filled. The new picture unit is excellent and has a wide choice of reasonably priced pictures. Bought two pictures and wasn't a problem to change one of the frames so it matched.

Really wanted to like this, we had a lovely walk along the pier and there was a good variety of shops selling different merchandise ranging from cheeses to Lego mini figures.

However from a covid point of view it was a nightmare. There was no restriction on visitor numbers, it was so cramped and no one was wearing masks. My kids asked for their masks as they felt unsafe

Beautiful pier! It helped that the weather was sunny and hot, we walked along most days during our stay, to walk off our breakfast or dinner!! The bar at the very end was excellent, we sat outside each time and the service from the guys and ladies was superb. You never waited more than a minute and they were back with your drinks, 10 out of 10 to them as they were all so friendly and on the ball, despite some awkward customers around us who didn't get that they are tables for 4 not 6, 7 or 8!! Just get another/2nd table, it's not complicated. The staff were so patient time and time again. Drinks were fab!

Having researched the best places to go in North Wales on our recent holiday, Llandudno emerged as a clear winner, including its "charming" pier.

Unfortunately the pier we found looked very tired and run down. Many of the units there were vacant and looked like they had been for some time. There was an arcade there which was rammed with people and aside from providing hand sanitiser they appeared to be making no effort around the Covid risk - it was a very uncomfortable place to be.

They also have a team of people specifically employed to charge you 50p for the privilege of using the pier toilets. No thanks.

On the upside, we did enjoy a nice bag of donuts from the stall on the pier, but that was the only thing that was remotely enjoyable about the pier.

A nice place for a stroll while you reminisce about its former glory during a bygone era, perhaps?

This is a fab pier giving lots of opportunity to enjoy traditional seaside activities.

The pier goes out quite a long way and the views are spectacular. It’s lit up in the night and is absolutely beautiful to see from the shore or from the pier itself.

There is a Ferris wheel and other fair rides suitable for toddlers up to about age 5 or 6. These are paid for using tokens but at £4 per ride, they are very expensive in comparison with other similar places.

There are two amusement arcades. One at the top of the pier and one at the bottom. We found them to be the worst arcades we’ve been to. We understand that the whole idea behind these places is that the machines will be rigged to take as much money as possible but these seemed to be far worse than any others. Tickets wouldn’t dispense from machines and games would only ever give the same results. We advise to stick to the 2p machines (although even these were jammed or stuck).

There are stalls selling donuts, rocks, candy floss, drinks, fish and chips etc. They were priced as expected. Plenty of benches to sit on to enjoy a snack, meal or picnic.

There are also stalls selling souvenirs, dog toys, oddities etc.

Well worth a visit, perfect for an hour with the family and dog.
