A short walk around to the back of The Grand hotel, you’ll find a very warm welcome into Nigel’s Gallery. It was on my list of things to see during our weekend in Eastbourne and it did not disappoint. The gallery boasts a varied collection of original paintings - both figurative and abstract with one of my favourites being a very tranquil seascape. Nigel engaged in conversation with both my teenage children to discuss all things creative and made our visit both informative and fun. Well worth a visit - we will return.

Many stores are closed at a Monday noon but I was warmly welcomed by Nigel gallery. It appears normal from outside but it’s amazing inside, worth an hour’s visit. The bright and bold colors are exactly what you need in a rainy day/an unsettling period. They are blended in a very balanced, satisfying way, making those paintings great for indoors decoration. Lovely gallery, lovely experience.

There is a story behind every piece of art, if you do not like Nigel's story he just encourages you to imagine your own. Incredible variation of styles from the same artist, His work in unhindered imaginative and has incredible depth. A joy to visit his studio, a pleasure to talk to Nigel and an honour to be able to display his work in our home

I visited the Nigel Greaves Gallery while just walking by. The paintings were very vivid and eye catching, but finding out the motives behind some of the paintings from the man himself was the true eye opener. He was a very interesting and insightful to listen to, I would definitely recommend a visit.

I stumbled upon Nigel's gallery while visiting family and it was full of beautiful, unique pieces of art - each with it's own story. I visited again with my 9year old who has an interest in art and he was so attentive to her - explaining his techniques and really taking time to help broaden her art knowledge and feed her intrigue. We bought a stunning piece that I am so looking forward to getting home and hanging. I would highly recommend visiting the gallery to meet Nigel and see his fabulous creations.

“As we’re here, we might as well have a quick look round this gallery.”
But a couple of hours later we’d had a very entertaining and informative chat with a delightful and fascinating man who made us feel very welcome. And we’d also seen his wonderful paintings, many of which I would have loved to buy.

The Nigel Greaves gallery is certainly the most impressive space in Eastbourne devoted to the works of one artist. Particularly striking is the painting in the window of a female naked apart from her stockings and a multi-coloured balloon covering her face. Not to mention the row of clothed young things in the painting hung directly beneath. The breadth and variety of his paintings astounds ranging from landscapes and seascapes to portraits, flower paintings and abstracts.

What a lovely way to spend an hour or two. The gallery is full of vibrant paintings and Nigel, the owner and artist is more than happy to explain the backgrounds to his pieces of work or if you just prefer to browse and take in the artwork then that is fine too. I went just for a browse but fell in love with his “Summer in Provence” and had to have it . I love it. Thank you Nigel.

There are 2 floors full of original art by Nigel Greaves. The vibrancy of the paintings as you walk in is stunning. There are plenty of paintings in different styles and for different tastes. We received a warm welcome and particularly enjoyed the back story behind some of the paintings.

Im not into art and was dragged to coming here by my wife. I was fascinated by the artwork and how all drawings was done by the owner Nigel who gave us a personal tour of his work.
Nigel was very friendly and welcoming.
I would consider purchasing his unique artwork.
Definitely worth a visit if you have 30mins. Time well spent!
