Sausages extroidinaire!!!!!@@
Jun 2021 • Couples
A coffee on the terrace plenty of room for social distanceing. However the jewel is the butchers. In my opinion the sausages are the BEST I HAVE EVER TASTED. Also a wide choice, and the butchers will always advise on the preparation of the meat. Vegetables, pure magic!!!!

Blown away by quality and value for money
Mar 2021 • Solo
Wow!!!

Firstly the Butchers & Farm shop are definitely open for business and wow what a selection of goodies inside.

Friendly warm welcome from the two members of staff inside, very helpful and informative on the colourful fresh local produce available.
From fruit to vegetables, ciders, ales, juices to meats and meals.

I brought 3 of every sausage -18 in total lol as I simply couldn’t decide between the scrumptious offerings and once you dive into the freezer along side you’ll flavoursome collection of burgers, sausage meat and flavoured chicken.
Of course I also went for 2 packs of burgers Stilton and honey glaze! Yum!

Some cheeky gingerbread bunny treats and my old faithful celeriac, I walked out a very happy lady.... WHY because I was shocked literally blown away by the INCREDIBLE value for money!!

If you haven’t already you really must give them a visit.

Cannot wait to tuck into these goodies!

Fantastic Cinema Experience

Staff were lovely, went above and beyond to make it special. Great for kids of all ages! Our time had to be moved but they gave us a couple of extras to more than make up for it. Totally recommend.

Green and mouldy pumpkins...
Oct 2020 • Family
We've been coming here for years to pick our pumpkins with the kids and were really disappointed to see that only green mouldy pumpkins were available to buy - all the big oranges one had been kept back to encourage people to book the expensive carving experience! A real shame that greed has taken over. Safe to say we didn't buy our pumpkin here and instead went to the pumpkin patch in Tesco!!

No social distancing being adhered to by customers inside the farm shop, and no staff enforcing this

Avoid at all cost
Oct 2020 • Family
Avoid at all cost!!! The place was rammed and there is absolutely no social distancing or organisation from the owners. People are not adhering to the 2 metre rule and tables and chairs are not being wiped down in the restaurant. Clearly the owners are only worried about making money. And people will moan when they are locked down!!! Get a grip

Don't bother

Very sad to see the demise of this farm. Used to be a wonderful place to visit but after 30 years of visiting, won't be going any more. Very few pumpkins available and those that were, were green and small. Only larger ones available were those you needed to pay to carve. We just wanted a nice big orange pumpkin from a pick your own, sadly not available here. Staff were not as friendly and smiling as they used to be. Dont feel valued as a customer.

Disappointed
Sep 2020 • Family
We visited here today for the first time with our 2 year old grandson. He loved the pigs, goats and chickens but the pens were very dirty . It was pleasant enough for a toddler however the cafe needs a lot of improvement. One of the waitresses was very grumpy and awkward. We waited about 40 minutes for sandwiches!and the staff were very disorganized.

Absolutely horrific experience! Avoid at all costs
Sep 2020 • Friends
If I could leave no stars I would, after years of visiting Sharnford farm with my children and having such lovely times, me and my mum decided to go and try it again for a late afternoon snack and coffee in the sun. What a shame, customer service was absolutely horrific, rude unhelpful staff who more interested in cleaning up to go home than answering my questions about which menu I should be looking at, they told us they were closing at 4 ( we arrived at 3.25) that wasn't a problem, told to sit down and they would come and take our order.... 3.55 and still no order taken! Awful awful i would never go back. Plus I should add that the food looked horrific so just as well we were only going to have a cake and coffee!

Sharnfold's demise?
Aug 2020
I'm a local and have been coming to Sharnfold many times over the years, for breakfast, the butcher and the shop, as well as fruit picking. Since the new owners took over, it has really gone downhill (see other posts). There is now a charge for children to see the few sad-looking animals they have left. HOWEVER - the worst thing is that the owners have applied for planning permission for 400 homes on land adjacent to the farm, which is upsetting everyone. They have lost an awful lot of local support and custom.

Ruined by greed!
Mar 2020 • Couples
A little over a year ago, this was a wonderful little cafe and farm shop. The staff were so helpful, friendly and would go out of their way to make sure you had a lovely experience. Fast forward to now and after a change of ownership, this has gone from a friendly, family run business to a cold, unprofessional environment which lacks any atmosphere. After extending the coffee shop and cramming so many tables in, we were shocked to see only 4 members of staff working on a busy weekend. The poor staff were run off their feet, tables were piled with dirty plates and cups with no one to clear them and the queue was so long, with the wait for food even longer. It was clear the new owners are cutting costs and it is the cafe staff that are paying the price for this. Going into the shop we were very surprised to see shop staff standing around talking including the shop manager! Couldn't have they helped out in the cafe if they had nothing to do?!

Going for a walk around outside, the whole place looks run down and shabby. Very concerned about the conditions the animals are kept in. The chickens especially look sick and unhealthy.

Coming back was such disappointment. After seeing this little business grow and thrive under the care and love of the former owners, it is so sad to see what it has become. Unfortunately the pure greed of the new owners means this place is now a shadow of its former self. Seeing that the new owners are planning to build houses in the site just emphasises this. This would have been such an amazing opportunity for someone to take over this lovely place and put as much love and hard work in to it as the former owners, but instead they are cutting corners and milking it for everything they can.
