I came with my new friends booked a private program, I promised that they will be impressed, and the observatory staff made it. I was impressed too.

The program in planetarium was lovely, we made a journey to the dark side of the moon. But the new coin collection kept my juniors for a long in the exhibition: we never heard that there are coins with enamel: so picturesque space landscape opened in front of us.

The renovated telescopes shown us the best: the Moon slowing flow in our view, so increadable, the planets were nice.
We were satisfied very much.

I like our visit. I did not expect it will be so fabulous.

At the vey entrance there is a Paris poster: we were glad to see, how kids like it. And George used it to explain us natural history of island, when he showed exhibits.
The planetarium program was with many interactive things, they appeared abruptly and always in tiume, looks so they were not prepeared in advance.

They have two exhibitions: the one at the top is very impressive: we did not expect to see the reconstruction here from our Museum in Athens. It is great, that the Antikythera mechanism is shown in Cyprus too.

And the large telescopes., one with a window in a dome to the Universe. They did there best to show worlds: andromeda Nebula and many planets.
Thank you.

Woh, they have nice mags with astrophotography. I found it occasionally under the coins with astronomy in dark side of the gift shop.

I recently took my daughter to as a birthday treat, we had the most amazing experience and even though my daughter has a great knowledge of space and stars even she was fascinated. George and Alexandr are so knowledgeable and so interesting to listen to, we were in awe of everything they had to say. George and his team made us so welcome and at ease, they put some lovely personal touches to my daughters night too and made it truly special. All the displays and explanations were so amazing, we will be returning as often as we can. Thank you so very much for an amazing night, can’t wait to come again.

George and Alexander took us on an amazing journey to the stars and distant galaxies. We found out more about the world we live in: we learned about Cyprus formation and evolution, attended an amazing interactive program about Black holes, saw Saturn and other deep sky objects through a massive telescope. And let's not forget an amazing nights sky tour!
Both parents and kids had a great time. Highly recommended!

Excellent!
Just excellent.. It seems that the stars meets again and we got opportunity to book private event. We were very very lucky: the sky was excellent and the two planets hang in heaven next to each other, so we had nice look to see them the Venusn and the Jupiter.

And the program was excellent too, we enjoyed the riddles of mars and many more in exhibits. these guys show unique for Cyprus Antykythera mechanism and rich collection of coins about eclipses. We even found some cool coins in the giftshop for memory, especially large gilted with the Moon of tooth fairy was exciting.

I plan to visit observatory Kition in advance. It is the gift to my beloved man, to show him the planet of Love from the Island of Love. And this Observatory made our visit as nothing could be better. George was so impressive, knowing so much and ready to share his knowledge, guiding us during our and only our evening under the sky. After his tour with laser pointer the sky became much familiar and his huge telescope shown to us the most impressive beauty of the sky - planet Venus. Even Mars which appeared at the end of our program was not so important for our holiday, though we were told that this year Mars is in rare opposition and it will happen again in 2032. For us Island of Venus is for Venus observations. We will definitely visit the observatory on our next visit.
