Decent beach, ok facilities but stunning nearby coastal views
Sep 2021
We parked in one of the Newgale beach car park's - £1 an hour, with toilets and a cafe. Simply crossed the road and over the pebbles to a very long expanse of sandy beach. The immediate area is popular with caravans, motorhomes and surfers.

Tbh we didn't stay here long but drove about a mile to the NT Maidenhall car park where you can do a little section of the Pembrokeshire coastal trail which affords some absolutely stunning coastal views - some of the loveliest you will see in the UK.

It was worth going to Newgale beach to find this nearby gem.

End of summer stunner
Oct 2021 • Couples
Whilst visiting family in Wales they took us to this fabulous beach which was teeming with people enjoying the end of summer celebration. We had fish and chips on the beach whilst watching a stunning sunset.

Fantastic beach
Sep 2021
We choose the beach by chance and really glad we did as it was absolutely fabulous. Long, lovely stretches of soft sand and was not at all busy. Toilets to use which are always a plus. Plenty of parking.

I do agree with another reviewer, and we had problems ourselves, accessing the beach via the pebble barrier that has to be climbed in order to get onto the beach. I do think the local authorities should make the beach accessible for all and provide better access as it is rather dangerous clambering over the moving pebbles/rocks.

Just fabulous!

Enjoyed several long walks at the dog friendly end of this beach - just beautiful and not busy. Parking is reasonably priced and fairly large area. Beach accessible by climbing down pebble banks.

Perhaps there should be duck boards to help people over the pebbles.
Sep 2021
This is a lovely beach and we have been to it before, many years ago. Now I am not so nimble on my feet. Walking on the flat is fine - indeed good for me. Climbing down an unstable pebble bank, and then back up again later, would be more than I can manage and I had to sit in the car while husband and dog went up and over for the dog to have a run on the sand and a splash in the sea. I thought of people with push chairs and small children. A beach made for little ones but hard to get them on to it. What about folk worst off than me who are restricted to wheelchairs ? Surely these days there should be some attempt to provide access for them. There is a duckboard path leading up to the lifeguard station. Would it be possible to extend this down to the sands ? Such a lovely beach but only those who are fit and active can get on to it. What a shame.

Nice long beach, dog friendly at either end and a nice wooded walk in the middle. Interesting cave to walk-in at the far end

Great beach, dog friendly
Aug 2021 • Friends
Very nice long beach with plenty of parking. Pick your timings though. We visited twice and at high tide the beach was just sloping pebbles. However at low tide it becomes a gorgeous wide Sandy beach which is lovely to walk along. It’s dog friendly also. Well worth a visit.

Wide sandy bay
Jul 2021
This beach has a very wide expanse of sand during low tide, and good surf for watersports. At high tide, the sand disappears and only the steep rocky bank remains.

What a truly beautiful beach!
Jun 2021 • Couples
What a beautiful beach is all I can say!! Had previously been to the beach on St David’s on the same day it is was pretty full whereas this one wasn’t as busy which felt more peaceful. Really nice views, nice sand and topped off with some beautiful fish and chips too. Parking is available both south and north side £1 per hour.
