First of all, I think it depends immensely on what tour operator you book with; there are faster boats with up to a max. 22 passengers and large boats with around 30-50 passengers. The differences are the number of people, obviously, but also the time...More

Took a sea kayaking tour around some of the islands at Ang Thong, such a beautiful and unique place. Seeing the various island's and the salt lake was a breathtaking experience.

Hello Melissa, May I know which tour did you go with? We don't care for the snorkelling, and only want to hike and kayak at the marine park. Can't seem to find too much information online though. Hope to hear from you!

With Blue Star Tours the snorkeling is pretty much optional. At the first kayaking destination they break the group into two sub-groups and one kayaks while the other snorkels. You can just hang out on the boat or swim... More

Hi, What kinds of cloths should we wear for this amazing tour? Is it necessary to have swim suit and towel too?

I think you should wear a bathing suit with something light over as a cover and then maybe a change of clothes shorts and shirt. You'll want swimsuit in case you swim or get wet.

Best day tour from Koh Samui? Hi, hope someone can recommend the best company to visit Ang Thong with for a few friends and me. We're going from Koh Samui, looking to do it relatively cheaply but with a couple of preferences: travel in a speedboat, ideally with minimal tour involvement - we'd love to do the islands at our own speed and would prefer to bring our own food/water to save money. Any advice or recommendations would be greatly appreciated :)

We took Anthong Sea Tour #7 Not a speedboat but a nice leisurely boat trip. I get sea-sick on choppy waters so the speedboat was out for me. You can chose snorkelling or kyaking (slightly more in price) but completely worth... More
