Perfect swimming
Sep 2021
The small cove at the end of busline 4 was the swimming place of my dreams. Chrystal clear water, a stretch of sand and rocks on both sides sheltering from open sea. On my first visit on a weekday it was not too crowded but even on a sunny Sunday there was room enough to sit on the rocks reading. The only restaurant served refreshments and food, the same kind I encountered all over Palma, bland and made for tourists without any imagination.

Great and accessible cove
Sep 2021 • Couples
Great cove. A little crowded, but you can find a place. Good mix of locals and tourists. A lot of natural shade with the pine trees, a very clean toilet just on the road above it (50 cents), crystal clear waters , great for snorkeling (I made 2 octopus friends), water sports, fine white sand, supermarket nearby, very accessible with public transport (40 minutes with #4 bus, 2 euros each way). I heard bad things about tbe chiringuito, but with the supermarket & public toilets you don't need to go there.

Small but amazing beach.
Aug 2020 • Couples
Even before you set foot on the beach the views from the hill leading take your breath. The water is very clean and no rubbish on the beach or in the water. Very well kept and naturally beautiful. There is a small island that you can swim to about 200m off shore. Very sharp rocks so I suggest swimming footwear if you want you want to walk around it. But for snorkeling it’s amazing. A lot of marine life. The water is calm and no boats are able to pass through the lane between the beach and island. So you’re able to swim quite far if you want to. Which is why this is my favorite beach yet on the island. The beach itself is small but there are people to regulate so it doesn’t get too crowded.

Good, but crowded
Jul 2019 • Couples
Small beach in Illetes with clear blue ocean. Seem like a lot of locals use the beach due to a high number of families with small kids. You can get here by taking bus no 3 to the last bus stop or there is a large parking lot near by. Renting two sun beds and an umbrella costs €13,5 which is cheaper than Cala Major. We arrived at 9.45 on a Sunday and it was a lot of people there already, but still plenty of vacant sun beds.

Nice beach with lovely views but very crowded
Jun 2019 • Family
Attractive beach with cafe. However, enormously crowded on what was a Thursday morning at 11.00 in June, which significantly detracted from its charm. Good cafe on the beach but very expensive - €4 for a cappuccino! Lots of steps to negotiate. Plenty of sun beds and shades and lots of parking close by.

Nice small beach

This beach combined a sheltered area to lounge, a snack bar/cafe and a pretty setting. Clean good sand on the beach and sun loungers to hire. Quite small so not sure how it would be in high season

Loved this beach & cafe
Jan 2019 • Solo
Nearly everywhere was closed, until I found this beach & Cafe on my morning walk , as others have said right at the end of the no 3 bus route.
The cafe is open every day from 9 - 7pm , friendly staff , on my first visit I had a Mallorcan herb mojito, and my second a beer , I’ll be back !

Our favourite Palma beach

A very natural beach just a few hundred metres from Illetes. Right at the end of the number 3 bus from Palma.

Perfect Beach
Oct 2018 • Solo
This is within easy reach of Palma, on the No.3 bus. It takes about half an hour meandering through the tourist sprawl of high rise hotels around Cala Major but the hotels become smaller houses and apartments. The bus route stops here and the beach lies just in front to the right, so it couldn’t be more convenient.
There is a small restaurant above the beach, perfect for a light lunch but closed in the evening.
The beach is small and sandy and surrounded by pine trees and coves. Round the corner is another, flatter cove, again with silver sand and turquoise sea, but a little more exposed.
You won’t be disappointed!

Very nice beach with clear water but small!
Aug 2018 • Family
My girls really liked this little sandy beach (Cove) and the water was very clear.
It is easily reachable by bus number 3 from palma (Plaza Espanya) and get off at the end station. It was only €3 return per person and it took us almost 1 hour from Palma with so many stops but worthed it! Definitely we’ll come again!
