Fantastic local pub!!
Nov 2021 • Couples
Found this place as a locally advertised "real ale" pub in Mumbles. Having just been into the nearly Ale House (don't bother, no atmosphere and hardly any real ales!) we were really surprised to find that a quiz had just begun but we were warmly welcomed inside and even given the opportunity to take part in the (free) quiz! To say that everyone was friendly is a bit of an understatement! The quiz was great fun, the beer choice excellent and there was even free sandwiches half way through the quiz! Highly recommend this pub! Our thanks to the landlord for his hospitality and for helping us to celebrate our 26th wedding anniversary!!

A little disappointing
Sep 2021
We had visited this place on a holiday to Swansea about 12 to 13 years ago but our visit one evening a few days ago was a little disappointing. They seemed to have ripped out the guts of the place we fondly remembered and the noise level due to the flooring and large numbers of people was such as it was difficult to hear oneself speak. I rated he beers I drank but not much atmosphere to what it had been.

An unspoilt pub
Sep 2021
Lovely, straightforward pub, slightly off the main line of pubs and restaurants which makes it worth seeking out.
Beers well kept.

If you like a good pub, don’t miss this one!

Best pub in the mumbles you need to make sure you visit the quaint, locals pub, you get looked after as if you’re in your own living room. If you like a good pub, don’t go anywhere else.

A Real Pub
Sep 2019
Went in for a drink and conversation with friends who live nearby. This is the real thing, not the touristy style down on the lower road. Excellent beers on tap and a lovely homey atmosphere. Service was fine and offered with a smile.

A hidden gem

I love this place. A proper pub with a great selection of real ales, a warm welcome from landlord Kev and on cold nights a cosy spot by the fire too. Oh and there’s never loud generic music being belted out so you can hear yourself think! Da iawn

Best pub for miles, if you want a pub and not some chain rubbish.

Look, I've been a regular here for donkey's, and these "terrible" reviews are ridiculous. And what the hell! "Racist!?" Some people should just stay off TripAdvisor.

Firstly, this is a proper pub, great ales, good whisky and some other variety of drinks. That's it. Bar snacks if you need. This is a pub for drinking good drinks and talking with friends. This isn't a place to have a piss up or a stag do or check off your list while getting drunk in every bar around. The staff are brilliant and nice. The place is clean and warm. The beer garden is lovely. Come Thursdays for quiz night. It's a normal, traditional pub. Check the OS map from the late 1800s. The Park Inn was here.

There's no jukebox to annoy everyone and make us all speak louder. They show sports when it's important (i.e. Rugby) and occasionally have other foods. The real ale pumps (5) change weekly and there is always something for everyone on. The people that frequent the park are the salt of the earth and come here because it's a place to relax and have a drink. I live next to other pubs and have never been in em. Cause I don't need to. I've met loads of people who pop into the park on a whim and are just amazed a place as nice as this exists. Give it a go if it sounds like what you're in the mood for. If it doesn't, sod off.

Hidden Gem
Sep 2018 • Couples
We stumbled across this lovely little pub whilst walking our dog one evening, we returned the next evening to a warm welcome and a lovely atmosphere. We've finally found a nice local pub which isn't littered with builders bums, sticky carpets, chavy mouthy youths and cougars. So glad we discovered this hidden little gem. We should be supporting local businesses and I wholly support this one. Definitely recommend a visit.

What a strange little pub

I’m not sure what people see in this pub. The bar staff have a look of lord of the rings about them, in a bad way. One woman actually called me my precious. It was all very concerning. I would not recommend this pub, even to my most hated relatives. Visit at your your own risk. Racist.

Returning home
Oct 2017 • Friends
The distance from home to The Park Inn is measured in steps or metres. Having lived in the Derbyshire Peak District for the past 3 years and enjoyed fine ales in great pubs with lovely people, it was a pleasure to return to the delightful and refurbished Park. The locals still occupy their usual places at the bar and the selection of ales was well up to scratch! Great to be home!
