Can be very busy with a narrow and often steep track filled with slow moving people. Can be hard to get past in places. Well worth it though and also climbing higher to get views down on to the rock.

First, regardless of what descriptions say, this is not an easy or moderate 'hike' by North American standards. Three hours or so up and two down is not a hike lol. It can be steep and challenging to climb. That said, do it and you...More

Loved the view. Not too challenging a hike, just over 2 hours each way with some stops along the way.

Tip: wake up early!!!! This hike is fairly easy and doable for able bodied people which means it will be crowded every afternoon. There are bus loads of tourists and multiple parking lots to hold a ton of cars. When we were driving back down...More

We were very lucky to hike to Preiteskolen (Pulpit Rock) on a bright sunny day, so we enjoyed beautiful scenery all the way up and spectacular views from the top. Both the walk and the rock at the top were very busy - unavoidable for...More

The trek can be challenging if you are not fit or if it is raining, so when there is a non-raining slot, go for it! the view is worth it!

The views at the top of Preikestolen, but it's a little spoiled by the extreme amount of people at top. This is made possible by the very easy trek to get up there - there's a simple trek all the way and you get there...More

I'm not sure if the english translation of an italian sentence is correct but when you arrive on the topo, after a two hours walking (sometimes heavy) what you see is really fantastic. Both the Prekeistolen itself and the view from it.

This is not an easy walk, even for adults! It requires climbing on rocky soil, crossing streams and stepping on sleepery ground. And all that for a few hours to get there, then back again. Not to mantion anything about... More

Not sure where your ship is docking but if it is a large ship it is most likely at the port outside the city near the airport. You can take a taxi to the port right in town where the ferry to pulpit rock leaves from. Once... More
