Molde probably got the best panoramic view! Fjords, mountains and blue sky. (Last one is irregular, as in Norway)

We hired a car from Andalsnes and drove the mountain trail to the top where we took our photos. Its an amazing site and well worth the drive. a great day out.

This area of Norway offers a wide variety of trips, short or long, easy or hard.

Peaks in this area are not particularly high, up to 2000m, but some of them rise straight from the fjords, making views stunning.

There are so many of them all over the area, offering length and difficulty of the trips suitable for any level of hiker.

Many of them can also be climbed on mountain skiis in the winter.

We had an awful Airbnb host in Romsdal. Then there's all the rural people trying to run you off the road. The hostility towards foreigners in this area is quite surprising for a country like Norway. Would never visit again as everything in the area is false advertising and entitlement.

Beautiful hiking trip to Romsdalseggen. Do not miss if you are in Møre og Romsdal! Starting from Åndalsnes. To the Blånebba top (1320 m high) it is ca. 12 km, ca. 5 hours. You can go down on another way to Venjedalen, if you do not want to take same way back (but in this case you have to get back to Åndalsnes by bus if you left you car there). Suggested from May/June til Sept/Oct, depending on the weather.

A trip in the mountains in Romsdal will be an experience you will always remembre. In wintertime as well AS summertime the mountains in Romsdal are breathtaking. There are triks of all kinds, easy and really hard ones. The walk Romsdalseggen is maybe the most impressive.

One of the most beautiful places to visit. A small quiet town with so much to give. The scenery is out of this world. The Norwegians are a sweet smiling kindly people. The fresh air is worth a visit alone!!! Only one little draw back, everything is so expensive, but save up and go. Jazz festival in the summer, the oldest Jazz festival in the world. Yes we will go again to the little bit of heaven on earth.

The Mountains in Romsdal is Perfect for Day trips. They are usually steep and have a great view when you have reached the top.
Be careful, some are so difficult you should bring a guide.

This trip is certainly worth the money. The food was excellent and the staff can’t do enough for you. We went on the VIP cruise and it was adults only so you could relax without worrying about kids running around. The stops for swimming were lovely and there was snorkels, kayaks and floats for guests to use. I wasn’t well on the trip and the staff went all out to make me comfortable and kept checking on me. They really go that extra mile to make your trip enjoyable. They also have on board entertainment who get the guests going. Well done to Captain and crew because you are a credit to your company.

There are endless places to go for day trips and hikes around Molde. One of our favorites is the Molde Panorama VIew at the end of the Varden. There are signs in town, or just ask how to get to Varden.
