We took a bus from downtown Alesund (opposite the Art Nouveau Museum). It took about 20-25 minutes. Check the schedule or ask the driver which bus 618 stops right in front of the Aquarium (sign says so on the front of the bus). Last bus leaves the site at 2:00pm so watch your time. Cost 47NOK We were fascinated by... More

We spent great time with my 6-years old daughter there. The diving show, seals feeding and and penguins feeding were very entertaining for her, but most of all she liked the children playroom where she could touch shells, crabs, sea stars, lobsters and play with them. Just make sure you check the activity program in advance - the most interesting... More

The sea park is small with limited species, and it cost extremely expensive for the visit. You most probably can touch some fishes in the open aquarium, which make the kids fun. If you staying in Alesund for few days, this maybe one of the place you can visit. I personally see many sea parks from other countries, and this... More

Very nicely laid out and watching the penguins being fed was a highlight. If you go on a tour from the cruise ships you don't get nearly enough time here!

We had a nice trip to this aquarium. Beautiful location. Nice and clean. The fishes and animals had a good invirolmente. We saw the 1 o'clock show with the diver and feeding of the fishes in the 4 million liters big tank. Funny. Nice way to learn about the sealife in Norway. After we went for a walk in the... More

The Tripadvisor reviews on the aquarium are spot on. Small, but a great visit. Plan at least 2 hours unless you want to catch the feeding times, then plan at least 3 hours. Follow the suggested walking path along the smaller tanks which then end up at the huge tank – which will take your breath away. Then outside to... More

The main attraction is the sea life of the area. I was quite impressed with various fishes in the region. Penguins were really cute! There were open area you can walk around. Please go there the first in the morning around 10 am before the tour bus shows up.

A sea aquarium located on the Atlantic coast some 4km outside the very city centre. Free car park outside. Not a fancy or spectacular place, but educating about the sea life in the Atlantic and the deep Norwegian fjords, with cod, salmon, crab, lobster, seals, etc.. You can see all in 30 min if you are quick or stay longer... More

The sea park is located in beautiful surroundings at Tueneset, Ålesund. The building itself blends into the surrounding nature and looks like a piece of the landscape. The different aquariums hold crustaceans and fish from the fjords and sea around Ålesund. All species are well described on boards on each tank. The penguins and seals are fun to watch. Try... More

Species of fish displayed confined to Atlantic salt water fish, as the water used is taken directly from the ocean, so the amount of displays is limited. There are also seals and penguins. Interesting enough displays, the highlight being the big open tank where some of the fish are quite friendly and will approach people. Or feeding the Wolf fish... More
