I'm sorry to be the wet blanket of reviews here (no pun intended), but before you schedule this tour you need to be aware of just how much it rains in Bergen. Our hotel brochure stated that it rains 266 days annually in the city. What the brochure didn't state is when Bergen natives say "rain," they mean it--not misty little drizzles or momentary cloud bursts!
We booked our tours in the U.S. and both days of our August stay the weather was cold (56 degrees F) and it poured rain all day long. We walked to the departure point from a nearby bus stop and after just a short walk in rain slickers, our shoes and pant legs were drenched, hands were freezing (we hadn't packed waterproof gloves) and our glasses were dripping. We decided that a trip in this weather would not constitute our idea of fun.
The contract clearly stated we couldn't cancel the day before (I don't recall the exact cancellation time frame) so we lost our $200 payment and just chalked it up to experience. The very friendly representative explained to me that because it does rain so much in Bergen, they cannot cancel due to rain. I imagine this would be a lovely trip in dry weather, but do be advised that you will get plenty wet, even with their rain gear, should you take the tour in a heavy rainfall.
You should also know that everyone speaks English in Norway and traveling by bus within the cities is incredibly easy; you can just hop on and off different buses from point to point without transfers.
One more point, we are senior citizens. We probably would have done the tour in our younger years without hesitation. Our less than youthful circulation was a factor in our decision not to go.
