This is the place to buy a little something to bring back home from your holiday in Bergen.

In this store you'll find unique handcrafted candles in a variety of colours and shapes,
made in Bergen, Norway, by the creative soul and shop owner Hassan Salem.

Bergen Candle is definitely the place to pay a visit if you are looking for souvenirs/gifts made in Bergen,- and not in China like a lot of the souvenirs that is sold elsewhere in the city.

Unfortunately this store is not found at Nygaten 1, 5017 Bergen, anymore.

But luckily the local artist behind the beautiful candles, is often to be found selling his candles at the market place next to the newsstand Narvesen in the round red building, close to the famous fish market (Torget) in Bergen.

If you're on the look for autenthic souvenirs or gifts to bring back home, you won't regret buying some of these candles; which is handmade in Bergen, unlike all the trolls and vikings produced in China.

But if you're into folklore and culture; some of the candles actually have motives of trolls and viking ships.
And some candles resembles the old historic tree buildings which is typical for Bergen.

The round candles are especially beautiful when they glow in the dark! And the pyramid candles do as well as a bouquet of flowers for decorating a table or windowsill.
