We bought the kids here for an afternoon during the Bergen leg of our Norway visit.

The views from the swimming pool are amazing. There’s the main pool, children’s pool, saunas and places to sunbathe. Taking a dip in the sea, whilst cold, is a must. The staff were friendly and facilities clean. There are lock boxes for valuables, clothes etc can be left in the changing rooms or by the pool. Food and refreshments are available by the pool too. If you have a buggy - there are quite a few steps down to the entrance of the pool.

A great way to spend an afternoon, and we’ll be back when we return to Norway!

A hidden treasure in Bergen. Nordnes seawaterpool is located by the sea along with beautiful and green surroundings. The seabath provides a variety of different facilities to enjoy like two saunas (unisex), wardrobes with showers and storage lockers. When you enter the quay area, you will find several different activities such as the heated seawater pool at 30-35c °, the diving tower, diving board in the sea, freshwater showers, heating room on the second floor, heating area with chairs and patio heaters, kiosk and outdoor sauna right on the quayside.

During the summer or in nice weather, there is a large grass area where you can relax and get your tanning on. Here families can bring their children, or friends can meet for a relaxing time. There is also a kids pool located in this area.

If you ever visit Bergen, and you enjoy these kinds of activities, Nordnes seabath is a must to visit!

If I lived in Bergen I would be a regular visitor. A lovely little retreat off the beaten track in Bergen, parts of it literally cut into the rock. From the harbour you can walk it in 20 minutes. There is a 25m heated salt water pool, a sauna, indoor or outdoor showers, a small cafe, an exercise machine section with views of the fjord and various small areas to have your coffee etc whilst enjoying the views. Dating form the 1920's it has the feel of something special, 'art deco' etc. But best of all? It has it's own section of the fjord for swimming in plus 3 diving boards! In June it was about 12oC in the fjord and was an absolute joy to swim in with those views in the background. You can swim between the 2 main sets of steps into the fjord, about 50 meters apart and do a loop, warming up in the heated pool each time, cheating, but hey...

A great experience. Fjord dip followed by sauna and lots of swimming in a heated pool as boats go by. What's not to like?

I went today and wanted to write a review immediately, I loved it so much. I am a big bathing fan (Blue Lagoon, Gellert, Onsens, Korean Bath etc) because it is a deeply meditative activity that opens up a unique side to each culture you experience it in. This ranks up there with some of the best, despite it being much less premium (more like a public swimming pool than a spa). This is a small spot nestled in a park at the edge of the old part of Bergen. There is light jazz music playing overhead. There is a big diving board for you to launch yourself into the North Sea, or the more timid can slowly lower themselves down the ladder. The whole of Bergen is stretched out in front of you. There is then a warmer pool to recover in after, and saunas where you can spend the rest of your time chatting to locals who came here to relax at the end of their day.

I was desperate to get in the sea while away, luckily we had one relatively sunny day so we took advantage.

The changing areas are clean and small lockers are provided for valuables, you are able to take you bag outaide around the pool which we did.

When we arrived there were only a handful of people there. We bravely jumped into the sea water which was really quite cold but bearable and definitely a refreshing 2 mins! After that you can get into the heated seawater pool, it isn't deep so good if you have kids with you. Deep enough to swim though. The lane closest to the sea was roped of for lanes.

The best part about this place is the view we went around 4pm and the sun was shinning right onto the pool.

We then used the sauna to warm up.

Great place to visit if you want to brave the sea with the safety of a lifeguard (it does give quite a shock) and chill out after a long day of walking.

My 21 year old son is a collegiate swimmer and needed to train while on vacation! He swam in the 25 meter pool which was very warm for competitive training and cooLed
Off in the harbor! He loved it and the Queen Mary cruise ship was docked nearby making it more special! Cost $10USD per person or 85NOK

We got lucky to be in Bergen in the few very hot days during summer end of July. This saltwater swimming pool was the highlight for the kids (7 and 11). We also took advantage to swim in the fjord that was over 20 degrees warm and very refreshing. The place is small and can get crowded, but we loved it anyway. An easy 15 minutes walk from the city centre. There is also a nice playground close by with a few climbing walls and trampolines.

hot pool, ocean and a sauna. The kids loved to dive in the cold sea and then go to the saune. For families with kids: combine this with the aquarium next door =amazing.

Such a cool place to visit. The heated pool isn’t super warm but if you rotate being in the hot dry suana, then jump in the cold fjørd, and then relax for a little bit in the heated seawater pool, you feel so alive and refreshed. You get a spectacular view while you are there. The staff is super friendly and helpful and they are working on getting lockers set up (because they’ve recently opened) but the front desk will hold your stuff if you don’t feel comfortable leaving it around the pool area. They have things for sale like snacks, goggles, and shampoo. It takes about a 25-30 min walk from the city center but it’s a really nice and easy walk, not need to find transportation. Once you get to the end of the street there is a park with a walkway to follow down to the pool itself, so it’s kind of hidden but don’t worry, it’s easy to find as long as you can get by the water.
Don’t be scared to jump in the fjørd, it’s super refreshing and a great story to tell your friends when you get home!
