This has a lot of wonderful old furnishing and is well kept. The lines were not very long and you are able to tour at your leisure which is nice

On a beautiful day like today this would be a beautiful place to picnic on the grounds which is allowed. And even though the royal family was not in residence at the time there were no visitors allowed.

The Royal Residence is set in a lovely park. If the flag is flying it means that the royal family is in residence.

Great place to bring a blanket an have a picnic with your special someone or the whole family. The place is situated by the sea, so on a sunny summerday you can even take a swim in the sea.

Great place to spend the afternoon. Strolling the grounds. For a tour in English you'll need to be there early afternoon.

Thanks for your answer - we've already been on the cruise, but hope to visit Bergen again some time, so will probably visit the Palace then. We really liked Bergen!
