This is absolutely a very good idea, much better than the other one. Yes you have to hike up some stairs through the hospital area, and yes the queuing is during rush hours in peak season slow. (why not make a bigger capacity or double...More

Visited Ulriken on Sunday 12th August. Caught the number 12 bus from Bergen and got off at the Haukeland hospital. It costs about £9 for a 24hr bus ticket or you can buy a single on the bus for about £3.50. I don’t know if...More

We walked the red walking path that should be 3,5 hours (ulriken - trolldalen - isdalen - svartkredit - brakedalen - ulrikseggen - ulriken) following the map as given at ulriken643. But after Isdalen this route is a dead end and brought us in a...More

We got our tickets from the street kiosk. Very friendly and knowledgeable. Everything we were told was exact. Glad we were there early. Weather was crystal clear and views spectacular.

I went there in August. I started at 9 am because i wanted to avoid big groups of people. The way up was more challenging than some people were telling me. You absolutely need outdoor shoes, because the way contains wet parts and there are...More

So easy to get there by the bus, then the very fun cable ride! We loved hiking in the mountains, discovering beautiful landscapes! Rewarding hot chocolate after the walk at the restaurant! ;-) Highly recomended!

At height of summer (August) at 11am the line is out the door and the wait is almost an hour and a half. Not worth it!! Make a backup plan like walking to the top or coming early.

Mount Ulriken was beautiful! I opted to take the cable care up and the long hike down (the stairs looked a little scary). The hike was a bit more challenging than I was expecting, but I’m also out of shape and don’t hike regularly. I...More

The hike up Ulriken was rather challenging because of the quite long stairs. However, the view at the top is nice! In total, the hike took us 2,5 hours.

I would go to the information center. You can buy the tickets there, it is a special bus to Mount Ulriken - goes every 30min right next to the center. It is right in the center of town and the bus ride takes 10-15min.

Hi. How nice that you are planning a visit! The best way to reach us is by taking the Ulriken Express bus from city senter (right by the tourist information very near Torget and Bryggen). You can buy a all inclusive ticket... More

Hi:) The cable car will be open, and you are very welcome:) Unfortunately the Skyskraperen Restaurant will close for the season in the end of October.
