On windy days the cable car closes. Do like the locals and hike up. You will get a cardio like no other, but the view is worth it

A must visit - panaromic views of Bergen. Take the bus near the tourist info centre to the cable car. No vegetarian lunch options at the cafe.

I hike the "Vidden" Trail. Its a 4-6 hr (place depending) hike from Ulriken to Floyen. The ride to the top was beautiful and the cafe at the top packed a great lunch. The trail was stunning and you can ask anyone up there where to go.Be sure to follow your trails marked path.

There is a great view from Mt Ulriken however it takes some time to get there and when I was there there was also a huge crowd so I spend waiting more than 1 hour for the cable car. In case you are there for view only Mt Floyen is better option as the view is greater, price is cheaper,... More

Beautiful view when the weather is sunny and sky is cloudless. You can see a beautiful Bergen. We used a cable car to Ulriken and down we walked. Unfortunately it was raining and it was cold, so the trip down was a bit dangerous and slippery. You must be very careful on the stones, becuase when is raining it is... More

You cannot beat the views!! It is absolutely breathtaking! It was fun to explore on the trails. The restaurant could have used more selection since it was pretty limited. I would definitely give yourself a lot of time for exploring and hiking!

We had an extra day and did Mount Ulriken and WHAT A TREAT! Breathtaking (I liked this more than Mount Floyen but both have different things to offer). The views, the hiking, etc. If you have young children I would recommend M. Floyen (park available for kids). But for an adrenalin M. Ulriken is great!
