We took the bus from city center. Cost included bus ride and the cable car. It came to roughly $33US. Definitely worth it. Beautiful views. Wear hiking or sturdy athletic shoes, very rocky terrain if you decided to hike.

But as mountains go it's one of my favourites! Lots of paths and trails to explore, there's a cable car, a zip line, a restaurant, and of course: fantastic views of Bergen.

I live here and this is one of my favorite excersise routes. There are now stone stairs all the way up. BUT: if You are visiting: dress outdoorsy, You NEED proper shoes (jogging or hiking) and windbreaker jacket. Weather conditions can change fast... Happy hiking!

~1500 steps, or 800 meters of stone stairs, laid by Sherpas during 3 summer seasons. It was magnificent and breathtaking :-) We took the longer way (2,3 km) back down. Also a beautiful walk. Definitely something to do when visiting Bergen.
