Welcoming Attitude matters

We were happy to be first in lane to try this cafe, but once the door was opened we expected to be treated with a welcoming morning greetings and smile, instead the lady, who opened the cafe door, said to us give me some space even though we were away from the door. And when we ordered the coffee her manner was dry. Can’t judge the desserts as we haven’t tried them but the coffee was good.

Decent coffee (at last!)

Norway is a land of many wonders but sadly decent coffee isn’t one of them. Far too many bean2cup machines.

Finally here you get barista quality coffee in a cosy little environment. Staff very helpful.

Small, intimate and cosy.

Small, intimate and cosy place. We had a Kenyan black coffee, a chai latté, a piece of carrot cake and a piece of cheese cake with added berries.
Both the service and atmosphere is great, and no wonder why this place has gotten the repute that it has. Both cakes were really good.

Coffee to die for on the way back from Mount Floyen

Walk back down from the Funicular and find this little place. It’s coffee snob heaven, where the coffee is spot on and the cakes and biscuits a must. It’s small, so maybe don’t go in a big group, but it’s a wonderful spot to rest the legs and re-caffeinate on your explorations of Bergen.

Excellent espresso and V60

We went there a couple of time for post hiking recovery. Coffees were excellents independently of the methods used. The Carot cake is also super good, a bit pricey though (7,5€).

Lovely hot drinks and cake, relaxed and cosy atmosphere

We came here twice on our 3 day trip to Bergen, as the cake and hot drinks were so good and it is so close to the Floibanen Funicular. While a little pricey, the drinks were lovely, the staff are very friendly and the carrot cake is a must! This makes it definitely worth your time and money. A cosy place to get some shelter from the rain. Highly recommended.

Cute coffee spot

Cute and cozy little coffee spot. Had a great cappuccino and cheesecake while enjoying a rainy day in Bergen. I come here every time I’m in town.

Great coffee in a tiny coffeehouse.

Love this place! It's right next to Floien,but still feels off the beaten tourist path. Lovely cakes and sweets,and gold coffee and tea. Gold place to bring a book and relax.
