This indeed was an unique experience anyone visiting Tromso must do if time permits. We celebrated my husband's b'day at the Ice Bar. Even the glass in which the drink is served is made with ice. With a temperature of -6 we thought we will not be able to manage it, but we did. With thick jackets and gloves all which is provided by them. September is more or less a less busy time to visit and even the staff at the counter was extremely helpful and answered all our questions and gave us adequate information on the bar and sculptures and over all what we cold expect. Last not least the Receptionist cautioned us since we were with mixed feelings if we could handle it, he said if you are really feeling cold inside the Bar just come out for a few minutes, make yourself comfortable and go back. But we were truly comfortable inside the Bar and did not have to come out at all!

Our first, and likely only visit to an Ice Bar. It’s icy cold. Duh. That said, the bar lived up to advance billing. Very welcoming staff, and while we were dressed for the cold an additional warm parka style wrap helped. Welcoming beverage was appropriately COLD. But it made for some fun pictures and a very unique ambience as you’ll likely ever experience. Worth a visit for if nothing else, the experience.

Cool but not worth the money in my opinion. We went for 20 minutes and were over it. If you have the extra money and want to do the experience then great but if you’d rather save a few bucks to spend shopping or eating i would.

I like different tours, especially when I have chance to try local food or drinks. Ice bar is more art gallery than common bar. Our guide said that there were used more than 60 tones of ice to make and to decorate this bar. Interesting place.

Easy to walk to from the Harbour. We’d never been to an Ice Bar before so this was a first for both of us. We booked online for £38 per couple that included two drinks each. We arrived nearly 2 hours early as I had tried to change the time online. But couldn’t! Keeping my fingers crossed we could get on early. The young lady at reception could not have been more helpful. No problem with us being early. So customer focused. It made the experience really. You are given a cape and gloves. I needed mine. Husband coped without gloves. The room is very small and only a few sculptures. Everything is made from ice. The table chairs bar etc. Drinks…..The Frost wine - crowberry and white wine. Very nice. Then you could choose from a menu for the second drink. I had the Snowy Mountain (Baileys Vodka & Cream) my husband had a Tropical drink (Malibu orange and a strawberry syrup at the bottom) Both served in an ice glass. Very nice. Lots of non alcoholic drinks and soft drinks too. There is a little shopping section to buy souvenirs We were there for about 40 mins. Definitely not for children. Yes it was a little pricey but we’re on holiday and trying something new!!! Glad we went. Staff amazing.

This was fun to check out for 1/2 an hour . Very small , pricey for the small drink . Could not linger here for more than the time it takes to snap some photos . Provided gloves and lined cape keep the chill away . It is a one and done experience for us but glad we did it . Was not busy

so much fun!! Our cruise ship itinerary changed at the last minute to Bergen. We saw others were booking the Magic Ice Bar, so we decided to give it a try...what FUN!! After riding the funicular up and walking back down, we were ready to sit down and enjoy some refreshing drinks. We were greeted nicely at entrance and enjoyed the bar (with provided gear) for about an hour with cruise friends! What a fun and unique experience!!! Would definitely recommend!!

It was a different experience. Our guide took a very long way to reach it but once we got there, it was fun. You get dressed to keep warm in the freezer. Art work is inside. The drink was not to my liking but it is served in an ice glass set inside a regular glass. I just wanted to see what it was like so now I have. It was fun.
