In Molde we rented a car and drove the Trollstigen Mountain Road. The Trollstigen (the Trolls Ladder) Road, is a 66-mile-long mountain road with incredible views of abrupt mountainsides, amazing waterfalls, deep fjords, and fertile valleys. It is definitely one road I will never forget!

I came here with my boyfriend during my first time of visiting Norway. (July 2017) Absolutely beautiful! The scenery is stunning. Would love to visit again :)

So we had a rental car in Norway and decided to start at the top @ the Trollstigen Visitor Centre - which was very nice. It had bathrooms and tables outside to sit and eat. It also had a gift shop as well as a...More

This is a very popular tour for anyone in the Alesund area of Norway, however the coach-loads of people (even slightly off season) did not detract from the grandeur of the scene. This location is just one of many magnificent sites along the Troll Road,...More

What a scary but scenic drive up! The one laned road leading up to Trollstigen's Viewpoint is certainly steep and narrow. The route up to the viewpoint closes during winter months so do check before making your way over. A spectacular scenic mountain range that...More

Well worth the visit, even though it was showering while we were there. Probably would have wanted to spend more time there, especially if the weather would have been better.

Definetly a bucket list item accomplished to drive the Trollstigen and take in the views from above. At the top, there's a nice little cafeteria/cafe to eat before you take the route down. Traffic (and how brave you are) will determine your speed down. In...More

We had a very foggy, rainy day on the day we took this tour which really decreased our visibility at most of the scenic stops along the way. It was fun to watch the play of the clouds on the mountains and valleys, but I...More

Norway beats England once again, as there are: a large car park, full facilities for travellers, shops, café and well maintained walkways all free of charge at this spectacular site. We managed to take our baby grandson to nearly the end of the sightseeing platforms...More

The Trollstigen is the famous switchback road with 11 hair-pin turns and great views (weather permitting). The driver really needs to fully pay attention to the road and on-coming traffic. But it was great fun to drive. Then there are the official viewpoint/platforms and nearby...More
