Vitensenteret is a science center where visitors are encouraged to learn through interactive exhibitions. The center is open Monday to Sunday, and here you will find exciting activities, experiments and interactive installations for the whole family. During weekends and school holidays we have a varied program, and we also organize summer schools, science clubs, birthday parties and other events. While visiting us you can also experience Norway’s first and only 3D planetarium and 360 cinema. Join us for a spectacular journey through space or watch one of our fulldome films. Screenings are usually during the weekend or on special requests. Want to extend the fun? We also have a science store with exciting experiments and toys. Trondheim Science Store is open all days of the week, and you can drop by without a ticket to the center.

We bought tickets for this before being told that very little of their exhibits have explanations in English. Despite this, we really enjoyed all the hands on displays. Even though it's geared towards children, there is fun to be had for all.

During our visit there was a bit of rebuilding and several of the "gadgets" were not functioning. The place gets crowded real fast, which was the case during our visit. I like the idea of a hands on approach to learning about science, but I...More

We tried visiting the science centre in part to keep dry during a long, rainy weekend trip to Trondheim. It was tremendous. So many engaging, fun exhibits in one venue. It is really imaginatively done and the staff all seemed really friendly and helpful. Our...More

Family museum in central Trondheim, a museum where science becomes practical knowledge by learning by doing. The museum addresses all from children to adults, but children and young people get the most out of it.
