I am at my second guided to with Ryan fishing after seatrout in the beautiful landscape of southern Norwegian fjords.
Ryan is a gentleman, a great angler and an absolutely reliable and efficient guide, well familiar with the best fishing spots throughout the southern Norwegian coast. Besides guiding, he is a paramedic…which makes the all experience feel very safe 😊
My second experience wasn’t as “productive” from a biting point of view but still we caught fishes such as small sea trouts, pollacks and my first garfish! However, sailing through beautiful fjords, enjoying some hours of peaceful fishing and having Ryan’s company pays the trip already.
Again as in 2020, I cannot give less than 5 stars and highly recommend Anglerpilot

We were spoilt with our first trip together, and it was so epic that being able to deliver at that level every time is near impossible. But isn't that why we go fishing?!

My son has a passion for fishing and asked to go on a boat trip for his birthday so he could experience sea fishing. I was lucky enough to hear about Anglerpilot and found Ryan extremely helpful during the booking process. My son and husband had an amazing experience sea fishing, helped by the glorious Kristiansand weather! Ryan was very knowledgeable and they were lucky enough to catch a really decent size fish.
I would really recommend Anglerpilot to anyone looking for a great experience that they will remember!

Me and my friends, all experienced game fishermen, were looking for a knowledgeable guide wile visiting the Norwegian south. There couldn't have been a better choice but AnglerPilot. Ryan is a wonderful and easy going person, with tons of knowledge of the area. He is a fly fishing pro but also accommodates well salt water fishing and other methods. The boat he uses is solid and after spending two days together we caught a big variety of species. Some of them big :) I would go fishing again with Ryan anytime and I recommend him for anyone looking for a fishing adventure in the area. Small bonus, he has a lovely dog!

I spent about 6 hours fishing with Ryan near Kristiansand early September. We fished with flies and lures in several different spots in the nearby bays and fiords. The safety equipment, fishing gear, and boat that Ryan provided were top notch. Ryan is a very friendly, extremely knowledgeable fishing guide who made my trip a very memorable part of our Norwegian experience. Unquestionably, the highlight of the trip was sitting on the shore of a beautiful fiord and cooking up fish that I caught just a few minutes before, for lunch! Ryan filleted the fish, provided and prepared the vegetables and side dishes, cooked the meal and even served dessert, while we chatted about a wide range of angling and other topics. It was a perfect day!

My 4 year old son and I went out for a few hours with Ryan to do some sea fishing.
He was kind and engaging with Tom (the little guy) and explained everything in a clear and fun way.
His equipment was obviously all up to date, good quality and perfect for what you'd want on a beginners fishing trip.
He caters the experience to what you want to do and with a young child with us, we kept moving around, stopped for lunch, and kept the whole process fun!
Best of all is the setting in the beautiful Norweigan countryside. Even if we caught no fish, it would have been a wonderful day... but we did catch fish! Even better!
The whole experience from beginning to end was fun, informal and enjoyable. I can't really imagine any age or combination of people that wouldn't find something to love on the Anglerpilot experiences.

Looking for a fishing guide during our stay in kristiansand we were happy to find Ryan. The half day trip was excellently prepared by Ryan. After initial difficulties getting the fish on the hook (not Ryans bad ;)), the sea compensated us with large catches. Finally a small harbour tour in Kristiansand and the day ended as we wished. Ryan is a nice guy who does everything to make these trips perfect. We would do it again and wish Ryan all the best. Highly recommended.

We had a great time fishing with Ryan on a fishing tour around Kristiansand coast. He is a true professional and all beautiful equipment is ready.
It was a beautiful day and we caught cod! Besides, he made a delicious fish soup for lunch. If you're thinking of doing a fishing tour in Kristiansand, I highly recommend going with Ryan :)

Had a fantastic 4 hour tour (and I wish it could have been longer!) with Ryan fishing for sea bass and sea trout.
We started the tour 5am of a little windy and rainy Tuesday morning and ended around 9am with a beautiful sunshine. In this timeframe we not only caught fish (4 sea bass, 4 sea trouts, a couple of Pollacks and countless Mackerell) but we also had a beautiful tour in the amazing norwegian nature.
Ryan is an excellent guide who knows very well the Mandal waters. He is obviously a great fishing and nature lover who can make you have a fun fishing day and at the same time share his experiences for you to learn from them. I personally had a great time, highly recommend a tour with him if you happen to be in southern Norway.

We had a fantastic morning together with Ryan. We are fishing beginners and Ryan guided us on his boat through the fjord. We also had our dog with us on the boat, which was not only okay with Ryan, he was just lovely with her - a real dog lover. Thanks to Ryan we caught lots of fish: Pollack, cod and small sea trout. There were also three bigger ones - so dinner was assured.
We would absolutely recommend the tour with Ryan to everyone! He is totally nice, patient and his tips are worth their weight in gold!

I had the opportunity to spend two full days fishing with Ryan for Atlantic Salmon on the Mandelselva. It was at the end of August. He provided the entire package. He had gear that fit me, the Hardy switch rod, correct flies for the conditions. He gave me instructions on casting techniques which I improved upon throughout the day. His streamside hot breakfast with coffee and hot lunch are very memorable. Honestly, anything cooked streamside tastes better! He was a patient guide and knew the river well.

½ day or 4 hrs – kr 2000 for one person or kr 2500 for 2-3 people.
1 day or 8 hours – kr 4000 or kr 5000 for 2-3 people.
