My boyfriend and I booked Ryan a salmon fishing trip. We met early in the morning and went fishing directly to the river. We tried our luck for a few hours, but since the water level was recently raised, Ryan assessed the chances as rather low and offered to spend the second half of the day at sea.
At the river Ryan made us fresh coffee and at sea he headed for a small island for lunch. On the sea we actually had better luck. Thanks to Ryan's echo sounder, he could see where fish were and thus headed for the best places. We caught some cod fish, which were still too small to keep and a lip fish, which we released again. Since we didn’t have any fish for dinner towards the end of the fishing trip, Ryan quickly threw out the line himself and caught two Pollocks in two attempts. So our dinner was also saved.
Ryan was very helpful all day and tried to give us an unforgettable and successful day. He has a lot of knowledge in the fishing field and we were able to learn a lot from him. We would recommend it to anyone in the Kristiansand area to go fishing at Ryan's. It's a great experience! Thank you Ryan for the great day!

Me, my brother and my sister in law had a blast fishing with Ryan as our guide. It was important to us that we had a good start to our family vacation and this was the perfect day. The hot weather for a couple of weeks prior to our trip had made the conditions less than ideal for catching seatrout, but we were aware and together with Ryan had adapted our plans in advance, also for potential rain coming in later in the day.
The trip ended up a resounding success. We fished from boat in the archipelago, by the islands at the edge to the sea and in a small fjord, we caught several different spieces of fish. Ryan put us on excellent fishing spots and his expertise driving the boat, also in some heavier swell and crabby seas, reassured the boating people among us. The varied scenery and fishing, the pleasant lunch break, the good company and happy atmosphere in the boat made for an unforgettable day.
This was my second time fishing with Ryan as my guide. Some pre-trip apprehension that the trip would be hyper focused on catching fish and fishing technique nerdiness (by yours truly mostly) proved completely unfounded... thankfully, because I had bragged about Ryan's guiding skills to my family beforehand!

It has been an absolutely unique and incredible experience. Ryan makes sure you're not just going finishing, you are creating a long lasting memory together. He makes sure to make the trip unique based on your interests and needs. I booked two days with him, on the first day my parents joined us and we mixed the fishing with a little sightseeing around Kristensand and a coffee brake on a little island. On the second they we went to a wonderful lake for pike fishing with a catch an cook experience on a lake. Definitely something I won't forget! I can 100% recommend and will definitely book again when I come back, it's been unforgetable.

We went fishing for a weekend as relatively unexperiened fisherman, all three of us. Ryan made us at ease, surprised us with his passional and yet very professinal approach. He literally took care of everything during the weekend, which made it an unforgettable experience. I think even the fish were listening to him!

I booked the salmon fishing for my 14 year old son weeks before we arrived. Ryan always responded quickly and we were looking forward to the fishing which turned out to be a great experience. We met at the river where Ryan showed our son a couple of different spots and patiently explained the techniques. Our son was very proud when he actually caught a salmon. Ryan took pictures of this which he sent us later. Since the fishing license was still valid my son could even continue to fish when the guided tour was over. Ryan is very knowledgable passionate and frienly and I highly recommend this experience.

Ryan taught us fly fishing for several days. We had wonderful locations and luckily wonderful weather. The equipment was excellent. We had different rods and could test everything calmly. Day after day we were able to deepen what we learned, became more independent and in the end could fish safely and independently. Ryan explained excellently and has responded very individually to us. It was a wonderful time we will not forget. Clear Recommendation! Thank you so much for the great time, Ryan.

Ryan is a perfect teacher and extremely nice person. Before and during our angling morning out he answered all our questions immediately and fully.
He adapted completly to our level and es absolut beginners we caught some fish. We feel prepared to find good spots to catch more fish, thank you Ryan!

My friend Tristan and I, Liza, went trout fishing in Norway yesterday with Ryan as our angler pilot, and it was an incredible experience! It was my first time fishing, and I absolutely loved it. We spent 4 hours exploring different spots surrounded by beautiful nature. Ryan was knowledgeable, friendly, and made the experience unforgettable. We went on two half-day fishing trips with Ryan while being on vacation with the family. He picked us up conveniently at our holiday home and we tried all kind of different fishing methods in the surrounding bays, fjords and open waters. Everybody very much enjoyed the trip (from beginner to advanced) and freshly caught fish for dinner. Ryan was a great guide in all aspects, particularly taking care and tailoring the trip for the children. Needless to say that the boat was perfectly equipped. We will get in touch again if we are back in the region

My son and I went with Ryan as our guide for fly fishing in the Kristiansand area. It was our first trip. Ryan was a knowledgable, determined and hospitable guide. Despite some challenging conditions weather-wise, he stayed positive for us and adapting to the situation. We also needed some help with our casting and he is an excellent communicator and instructor. If you're southern Norway and looking for sea, fjord, lake or river fishing, I'd recommend him. And excellent shore lunches! Thanks, Ryan.
