Nice well kept park with occational jazz concerts

It was a nice park connected to a museum with some exhibits outside. The cafe had a nice view and good looking cakes. They have jazz concerts during the summer.

This park, where you can also find Telemark Museum, is really beautiful, and you are walking among old architecture hundreds of years old which is a part of Telemark Museum. The park is used all the time for wedding photographs - and that's for a reason. There is a restaurant in the park, which was ready for a total make-over... More

This really is a beautiful, historical place to visit If you happen to be in Skien, Telemark. But you should definately go here in the summertime, when the flowers are at their most gorgeous state! Bring some food with you and have a picnic here, or just walk around, grab in the old atmosphere and see the ancient houses and... More

Fantastic Park for adults and children alike. Cafe with the best view in town. The museum show parts of Telemark historic buildings in a lovely atmosphere. The kids love the play area.

The park by the local museum in Skien is a good place for relaxation. Bring a book, find a bench or just walk around. It might even put you in a romantic mood, if you are together with your woman.

Great park at the top of Skien. There is a large playground for the children, historical buildings and a restaurant with a view of the city.

The guided tour inside the main house and some old buildings was a fine and interesting experience. The guide was very good. (Cost: 70 NOK for adults and 30 NOK for children). A wonderful... More

A very beautiful tourist attraction for the whole family. There are several old buildings there that are worth to see. Our tickets that we purchased at Henrik Ibsens museum were also valid at Brekkeparken. We had a guided tour of the 2 old buildings there. The tour guide explained to us in such a very interesting manner how it was... More

Beautiful park with many historical buildings from 1500's to 1800's on the grounds. Was within walking distance of my hotel, though steep climb by road or many stairs! :-) Did not take tour so didn't see inside of buildings. Visited early in June of a year with a late, cool spring,so tulips and lilacs were still in bloom.
