We had seen some lovely pictures of Drobak so while in Oslo, decided to go and checkit out as we had the afternoon free on 19th March. Bus number 500 takes you direct to Drobak and it is a comfortable 40 minute ride through some beautiful countryside. We reached the town and were not disappointed at all as it is... More

Only 45 minutes drive from Oslo, south on the E6, or by bus from the city centre. A small town with 9,000 inhabitants although a lot more in the summer. Plenty of pretty, typically Norwegian wooden houses with narrow fjordside paths to walk along to Drøbak harbour, where you can sometimes buy prawns from the fishing boats. A relaxed atmosphere,... We visited just a few days before Christmas. Once you have looked around the " Christmas Store" - there is not a great deal to either see or do. It is usually cold in this part of the world and in December, it gets dark early. Not a place we would revisit.

Great for a walk over Oslofjord, ideal for children - there is a nice playground. The cottages around are lovely.

Like most places it's dark, cold and quiet in the winter. But alive in the summer. Fishing, swimming and drinking coffee in the sun is good anywhere in the world. But especially good here.

I was recommending to visit Drobak from the host of my Airbnb apartment and I took on this recommendation with no expectation. We took the bus from Oslo bus station which took just about an hour to get there - when I got there - i felt like I had been woke up from real life and put some were... More

I often visit Drobak. A cosy town with maybe the best atraction Julehuset(The Christmas shop) Ideal for families with children especially arround Christmas but also at other times. In Drobak you can also see big ships coming by in the small straight going in to Oslo. The fortress outside Drobak is also a must. The fortress stopped the germans in... More

We did a half day visit to Drobak taking bus #500 at Oslo S bus terminal. Bus runs every half hour. We took the 9am bus at bus stop 41. The bus travel south for 55mins before arriving at Drobak square. From the square we walk across to this must visit 3-storey yellow house called Julehussel. When you step in,... More

I actually drove trough the entire peninsula from Drobak to Oksval and back to Oslo on the other side of the peninsula. Drobak is officially Santa's place...but no Santa in September. The town however is charming, typical small cozy shops and pastry shops. Worth a stop if you are around.

We enjoyed the visit to Dxobak, because we took the public transport through the fjord and the weather was very nice, which helps. Once in town we walk around a little and stopped for coffee and pastries. Nice trip.
