Me and a friend got a surprise massage, and during the booking it was specified that we wanted a female therapist. The boooking was confirmed, so we assumed it was ok, but when we got there the request had not been granted. And we had to push hard to get a solution which was not optimal, and the massage was delayed 1 hour. So generally we were not very happy with the service.
The massage it self was ok, but had still expected more from a place like this. In my friends room there was no music played, and did not feel as an exclusive massage.
Probably will not choose this place again.

Our visit to the spa was magical, thanks mostly to the attentiveness of the spa manager, Caroline. She explained all the amazing facilities and encouraged us to take a dip in the fjord. She even supervised this and took a tonne of amazing photos for us. Then she recommended a restaurant and even booked the table for us! Great service. The spa itself is beautiful with amazing facilities including a pool overlooking the fjord heated to 21°, sauna, Hamam and a variety of special showers. I had an expert massage from the lovely Hannah and overall it is probably the best spa I have ever been to.

Looking at the great reviews this place has gotten, I am quite surprised. I guess I am the odd one out, or just a real perfectionist. But after visiting the spa two times, I don't find the place to be more than average of what you can expect - especially for that kind of money. First time I had a massage by a man. It was Ok, but he kept pinching me with his nails, and after I got blue bruises all over my legs. When I went back, to show them, he insisted that they were there beforehand. Which I find very rude. I wasn't asking for my money back or anything, just wanted to point it out, as it is not acceptable in my book to leave the customers bruised. The second time I had a facial by a very nice woman. She was the best. But the methods used felt very simple. They did not deep clean and they didn't use any instruments. It felt like I just got my face washed and moisturized. I wont use my money on a treatment there again, as I think what I get at real skin salons is a lot better. When it comes to the pool area, we were very lucky both times, as there was not a lot of people there. Therefore it was very relaxing. But the pool is tiny! If there are more than four people in it, I would not find it relaxing. The saunas are good, again, if there are not a lot of people there. The female staff is helpful and nice, but waiting for my treatments the workers talked loudly about their weekend, about people who were "fat" etc. I think a Spa waiting room should be quiet and serene. Comparing to what I have experienced in other countries, Thief Spa is average. However, if you have cash to spend, and book your visit at a time with few people there, you will most likely enjoy your stay.

Visiting Oslo with the feeling of Springtime.
Thief Spa is like a small Cave with a beautiful view of the waterfront/ Bay.
There are both pool, relaxation with free fruit and nice sauna. The steam bath is amazing, we had a Rhassoul with Himalaya salt scrub and then clay for the entire body - an absolute must-try!
The small pool had a swimming trainer installed, making it possible to exercise.
The service is great and the visit is one of the best spas in Nordics.

Absolutely lovely. Quite pricey, but you can stay as long as you want and everything is included. I recommend going for an entire afternoon or evening.
Very clean, bathrobes, towels and scented salt scrub are provided, as well as plenty of fruit and sweet fruit or choc chip oat cakes.
Various different saunas, incredible showers, nice little pool. All in all very peaceful, relaxing.

good if somewhat generic massage, $200 usd for 80 minute deep tissue- that said, the front desk check in was friendly, welcoming. Admission is for as long as you like- enjoy the pool, steam and sauna- the hamam seemed to be closed/not functioning when I was there. The locker room seemed a bit neglected: towels, robes lay about when I arrived and when I was leaving two hours later no one had cleaned up. That said, the location, finishes are posh without being vulgar- a pool side window allows you to gaze out at the oslofjord and overall quiet relaxing. Only complaint were a couple business men on their cell phones pool side which defies all common sense and etiquette. Great to visit on a rainy day and if you are in need of a good massage after traveling for sometime, come here. Appointments are required. Yes, it is small but for a hotel spa that offers massage services this is better than average.

Usually, unless you book a specific treatment, a spa can be rather underwhelming. Not so at The Thief. From the scented salt to the rainforest ceiling in the Finnish Spa to the fruit and coffee by the indoor pool, this is a spa to experience.

what a way to spend the day!
Walking in the door on a cold and rainy November afternoon to be welcomed by a really nice and professional crew at The Thief Spa. We had decided to give ourself a special treat and try something new in Oslo, and we have no regrets.
They have an assortment of different saunas, Finish sauna, steam sauna
(make sure you get some scented mineral salt from the host/hostess) and a hammam.
In addition they have a sizeable pool at 32 degree celsius. All made for relaxing!
When you feel like cooling down, you can always try the crushed ice or one of the different kind of showers. You also have a variety of different treatments, and even though we didn't have the chance to try it all, the all over body massage was great.
It was fantastic from the beginning till the end and walked out the door with a pure feeling of well-being. Thank you for a wonderful experience!

This spa was just ok. For $56 you get a pool, a mist shower, a sauna and a steam shower. One of the other steam rooms was not working. It is pretty inside and if you were staying at the hotel it would be nice. For the same price you can go to the well and have spectacular. I think this was overpriced for what it was and probably not worth it.

We had a lovely day in the Thief Spa.
We had the package incl. Brunch and spa experience was very good. Calm and relaxing.
The may think about placing some more chairs since it was some people that was clearly mad since they did not have any place to sit.
Also a bit annoying with the guy taking his swim training in the pool making a lot of noice.
Service and staff are super friendly and nice!
