About
Kollensvevet is a zipline which takes you from the very top of the Holmenkollen jumping tower to the bottom as if you were jumping on skis. From the top of this landmark you can now set off and enjoy the same view and sensation of speed as the ski jumpers do! The line itself is 361 meters / 1 185 feet and the difference in altitude is 107 meters / 351 feet. The view is the best in Oslo!

We had planned to do this as part of our first trip to Oslo and it was brilliant! It’s not cheap but it’s an experience that will stay with me for a long time.
The team are very professional and reassuring. The only time I thought “what on earth am I doing?!” Was when I was about to start the zip line and it was too late for second thoughts!
Recommended for a one off memory, for any age.

Great views and certainly cleared any hangover! Quite expensive for what it is (but the rest of Norway is too)

This was an amazing experience and my first zipline ever! We found out about it rather randomly while on the Hop On Hop Off bus. Not going to lie, was crazy scared at the top, be so happy I did this! I wish they offered pictures at the top and the bottom - truly they are missing out on some profit and I know me and my friend would have both spent money for those pictures! If you get a chance to do this, DO IT!

full of anticipation we made our way to the ski jump to have a great experience with the zip line. unfortunately we were quite disappointed. the price was very high and the experience very short. Since it was full, it got very hectic and the employees didn't respond to any requests. so it was not possible for us to take pictures or videos. At the beginning we asked if we could go down alone. This was answered with yes and changed shortly beforehand without information so that we used the zip line with strangers. In summary, I cannot recommend using the zip line. what a pity... maybe we just had a lot of bad luck

A must do when in Oslo. Good opportunity to experience and height and scale of an Olympic Ski Jump. The Zip Line adds an extension to the experience, but no for everyone. The Oslo Pass provides free entry to Museum and Observation Deck. Great views for Pic's on a good day.

Yes it’s expensive, but what a thrill! It’s quite a hike to get up there but the ride down is fabulous. Myself and my 9yo son absolutely loved it, and though we were a touch nervous it wasn’t actually that scary as there is no big drop at the start.
Don’t hesitate - do it!

Your kids have be at least 30 kg/66 lbs. my 8 yr old barely made the cut, but it didn’t matter b/c he flat out refused to go... until he saw his 11 yr old sister & father go down &
love every. Second. Of. IT!! It’s not cheap, but we built the cost into our travel budget - and considering we dragged our kids to ever other museum in Oslo (which they reluctantly agreed were all awesome) it was the one kid-dedicated activity that was just for them. *** Note: this is an easy fun train ride up from Oslo’s city center. Consider making a day of it & starting or ending one stop further, & going to the tree obstacle course at Sommerpark. This isn’t a cheap day, but it’s a fun - kid - day.... Oslo was beautiful, but its not super kid friendly. This is one day for the kids - or the kid in you - to be outdoors. (It doesn’t hurt that there was a rain shower at the end of our day and a full rainbow over the mountains and the entire city - proof that even a little rain won’t slow down your day in this chilly city!)

I'm older (63) and an avid Olympics, Wide World of Sports (old school) watcher. Always wondered what it would be like to launch yourself off the top of a ski jump. My friends backed out but I wasn't that nervous for some reason. The crew was very friendly and the wait wasn't very long (about 10 min) when I was there in late August. It's beautiful at the top of this jump (above the zip line) be sure you go up there before you line up for zip line. A little pricey but I can say I've done it. I'm not a big thrill seeker so my pics were a shock to my family and friends back home. If you plan on going I recommend taking the train to the next stop beyond (the last stop) and hike back down to Holmenkollen. That way you don't have to hike UP a steep hill to get there and it's a beautiful walk with a lovely chalet type restaurant on the way.

I have a 14 year old daughter with one arm and this was a very safe experience. We both went down together and loved it. I was a little nervous and had to be pushed off the platform but I lived to tell about it.

What a spectacular site. Wanted to zip line but couldn't due to time constraints. Envy all that did this once in a lifetime experience.

Hi, Are there any age restrictions for the zip line? And is it open throughout the year? We are planning to visit in July. Thank you

Hi! There is no age limit, but there is a weight limit - children under 40 kilos must jump in tandem with an adult. We are open until November 1st. In July we will be open every day, not just the weekends. Check out kollensvevet.no for more information.

How do we get there from downtown Oslo? How much does it cost?

Hi Sheila.
The metro will take you up there. Get off at the 'Holmenkollen' stop and walk the approx 300 meters up to the jumping tower.
Check out our web page kollensvevet.no for prices and opening hours etc.
