About
Kragstotten is a portrait statue of Hans Hagerup Krag (1829-1907), the Norwegian Road Commissioner who was behind the building of the roads in Voksenkollen and Holmenkollen. The statue was made by Gustav Laerum in 1909. The statue is placed at a high point in the Holmenkollen hills, and the name Kragstotten is also used to refer to the location, which has a beautiful view of the southern and western parts of Oslo.

We find it just randomly while hiking from Holmenkollen to Frognerseteren- wonderful view to Oslo fjord and surroundings and quiet place, at least at 14.00 in the afternoon

Fantastic place to see Oslo in clear days. You can use the tram and then walk up there or use your car.

This is one of the finest places to spot Oslo, the Fjord and Western Suburbans. You will either have to take the Subway and prepare for a small walk or you may ga by car. On your way you may take a visit to Frognersetern Resturant or see the Holmenkollen Jumping Hill...
