About
Oslo, recent winner of the EU's European Green Capital Award, is best discovered when active and outdoors. Explore all the places a bus cannot: take a bike tour and cycle through the Royal Palace Gardens or next to rushing waterfalls in the downtown; rent a bike and make your way to the various beaches along the coast; hike among the hills and lakes in Europe's largest urban forest; or island hop on one of our nature walks. Let Viking Biking and Viking Hiking show you all Oslo has to offer.

One of the best ways to see beautiful Oslo. Jon took a group of 14 around the city for 3 hours extolling the beauty of the city. We spoke of history, culture, politics, etc. We are in our 70's and had no trouble keeping up except for one short hill. They are located IN the cruise port and are convenient to downtown. Highly recommended.

Hello! And thank you for taking the time to leave a wonderful review. I am thrilled to hear that you enjoyed my bike tour around Oslo's main highlights. As you mentioned, the tour is a fantastic way to gain a rich and diverse understanding of Oslo -- getting a detailed snapshot of the city in just 3 hours! I am glad you didn't have any problems keeping up as we aim for the ride to be at a leisurely pace -- suitable for all levels of bike riders. My best wishes to you as you continue your Norwegian adventure, Jon.

Viking biking was a great find. We enjoyed a three hour bike tour around the great sights of Oslo with tour guide Jon. Jon told us many facts and kept us well entertained through the whole tour. The route is gentle and enjoyable for all ages.

My wife and I had a great time today with Chris! He really tailored the tour for us and gave us a memorable experience. He was super knowledgeable, incredibly friendly, and just a great guy to bike around with on a frigid Oslo day. Thanks again!

I will let Chris know how much you enjoyed his tour. You might not know it, but he is a man of many talents as Chris is not only one of our most experienced guides, but he is also our main mechanic! So you were in safe hands on the winter bike tour. Best regards, Curtis

I thought Viking Biking was an amazing way to see Oslo. The sights were wonderful, the tour guide truly knows the area and gives you a much better insight than most of the other tours provided. They know really good places to eat, go out, and activities to auit everyones tastes. There are many paces to stop off and take breaks. Suitable for all fitness levels.

This newly established company runs a number of bike tours of Oslo. We took a 3 hour tour of Oslo highlights and it was great. The bikes were near new and good quality and the tour was easy cycling around the major attractions in the city. Our guide Paul provided both an informative and fun commentary during the ride and time was provided to see a couple of the the most popular sights in the city while Paul looked after the bikes.
Would recommend this tour as a fun way to get a great overview of Oslo's main attractions.

It was a fantastic to bike around in the city, and visit some places you problably wolud never see while sitting on a hop-on/hop-off bus. Easy routes, nice views and kind guides!
It's perfect for couples, friends or families with teenagers. Me and my friends had a good time cycling around in Oslo. :))

A nice way to see the sights of Oslo. The tour guide Chris was very knowledgable of the various sites we visited, especially the history of Norway. Another fellow, Curtis, was very helpful in directing me to mountain biking trails in Oslo. Hopefully someday Viking Biking will provide guided mountain biking tours in the Oslo area. Everyone spoke good English which was helpful as I don't speak Norway.

Thanks Guys!

Excellent tour of some of the main attractions in inner (and old) Oslo, Norway. My rating covers the attractions, the tour itself, and the commentary by chief Viking guide Paul. You don't need to be an expert cyclist, the bikes are in good to excellent condition, and the company is about to receive 80 new bikes which will allow them to deliver the tour with greater efficiencies. Paul's commentary (he is an ex-Pom turned Norwegian) is a first-class mixture of Norwegian history, sociopolitics, and humour, and he is very inclusive of all his biking guests.

This was a great tour for us, as we only had a limited time from the cruise ship...Paul was super knowledgeable, funny and enthusiastic about his job. He led us to most of the great spots to see in Oslo- the sculpture park was very impressive and we got to spend a good amount of time there. It helped that it was a beautiful sunny day, he took time for us to really see the spots and made sure everyone was comfortable bathroom wise. He kept our 12 and 16 year old quite engaged and entertained.

Only downside were the bicycles - some were quite in need of maintenance, we didn't need to use our bells because the breaks squealed so loud on a few of the bikes!

I took the Oslo Highlights tour and was extremely impressed. The tour guide was very knowledgeable in the sights and points of interest, also on the history of the area. We were shown great places hidden away to most tourists. Overall a great experience and I would definitely recommend this tour to everyone Great price also
