The main street of Oslo is full of life with many attraction, shops, restaurants, clubs and even some musical entertainment offered by talented youngsters on the spur of the moment. Worth walking up this broad street to get the essence of Oslo.

Our hotel is situated on this avenue. I love the walk because there is this great concept store, some nice cafes and restaurants too. And in the middle of the avenue a coffee place and a metro station too.

This is the main street of downtown Oslo, offering shops and restaurants and good views of the Palace at one end and Parliament at the other, with the National Theatre in between. It is a joy to just wander down the street.

Our hotel room looked out on this pedestrian street, so we did a lot of walking and window shopping. The Christmas Market was along the way and our favourite restaurants were also here.
