This life-sized bronze statue has an outstanding location in front of the striking Oslo Opera House.
Kirsten Flagstad (1895–1962) was a Norwegian opera singer and a highly regarded Wagnerian soprano.

Beautiful statue in front of the sea and next to the Opera. Caught my attention for a few seconds as I was walking. Worth a quick picture

A fine depiction of the famous Norwegian Soprano, it stands close to the Opera House.
Amongst her many accolades was to be called the voice of the century.
During WWII she caused controversy when she returned to occupied Norway to join her husband. After the war she continued to give performances, at New York’s Met Opera and elsewhere.
She also premiered Rickard Strauss's Four Last Songs during this postwar years.
