    Large but easily navigated
The largest station in Norway but easily navigated Large clear signs and plenty of staff who all speak good english. Always buy tickets from the machines as they are cheaper and available in several languages. If you are travelling to or from the airport use the regular train not the dedicated airport express which costs twice as much and only takes a few minutes less. There is a large shopping centre attached to the station and plenty of places to eat fast food. Very clean, airy and not imposing. Take your time and ask if in doubt for a stressless experience.

It is a connection point for the FlyToGet express train (with service between downtown
‘Ello Chaps! Oslo Central Station is, as the name implies, the Central train hub in downtown Oslo. It is a connection point for the FlyToGet express train (with service between downtown and Oslo’s main international airport), as well as the various train lines for local and regional services. Despite it’s overall small size, there are more than dozen dozen platforms, and many restaurants and shops inside making it a constant buzz of activity. It is located just steps away from Oslo Opera House and many downtown attractions, restaurants, bus line, tram line, etc. Oslo Central has nineteen tracks, thirteen of which have connections through the Oslo Tunnel. The station has two buildings, the original Oslo East building and the newer main building for Oslo Central. Each building houses a large shopping centre. The square in front of the station is called Jernbanetorget.

    Well-stocked
Using the Flytoget app was really easy to get to central Oslo, with trains every 10 minutes to and from the airport. Inside the station, there are many options to eat, drink, relax, shop or pass through to the bus terminal, the trams or the town. We stayed at the Comfort Hotel Grand Central which is attached to the station, another easy option.

The station seemed like it had pretty much everything you need as far as shops and restaurants. Finding the trains was pretty easy and the place is clean. I would like to comment on the Ruter transportation company, however, as getting the tickets for the Metro (T) was ridiculous. We went to the Metro station, thinking we could purchase tickets at terminals there. No, there are no terminals in the station. Then, we looked on the map to find a Ruter customer service point, found it and it was closed (and this was mid-day). We saw the big banner saying to download the app and purchase your tickets there. So, we downloaded the app and tried to get tickets, but it wouldn't allow us to complete the transaction. We went back to the main station terminal and to one of the very helpful information people and they told us we had to go to the Ruter customer service desk, outside the central train station, around the corner, with no signs pointing to it, other than a Ruter logo up on the tall tower. When we arrived there, the very nice staff person listened to our story and told us that we shouldn't have downloaded that app, we need a DIFFERENT Ruter app. She said to use the white logo on the red background app, not the red logo on the white background app, because that app DOESN'T WORK. Why would they advertise an app that doesn't work? Then, we got our tickets online with proper app and she told us that we also could have bought tickets at any of the multiple Narvesen stores. Well, THAT would have been good to know, as we passed three on our way to the tram. Very poor customer information.

Old part of station has been renovated into restaurants and shops with a newer section where the railway actually now operates. Trains used are always punctual, clean and well organised. Lots of places to eat and drink in station complex and right next to national opera house and library. Watch out for taxis from main station stand ..twice had much longer journey back ti hotel than necessary. Use Uber. Train network very good.

I took the Regiona Train VY from the OSL Airport to the Central Station, very cheap transport mode costing me only $4:00 or 40 NKK. Durarion of the travel was about 23 mi utes.

This Station has many transport options covering trains, buses, and trams. It also has some fast food restaurants, shops, grocery stores, etc.

It has two exits, one of which has a huge Tiger Statue in front of it. The other one leads to the Opera House, Oslo Library, and Munch Museum. The wide Johhans Gate starts from this attraction and ends at the Palace. There are restaurants, shops, other attraction along this wide street.

Main train station in the capital city and it's one of the most chaotic places I ever been to. No chance to exchange money after 5 or 6 pm.

A well designed station with very good information boards informing you of what platform to go to by when. It is located very close to the CBD so accommodation options are not far away

Even if you visit Oslo for first time, there is no way you cannot get lost. The orientation on Central station is very easy, the signs are well placed. The station has everything what a tourist needs: Visit Center, shops, food court, rest rooms, Information desk incl. ticket desk for trains.

Main train station in Oslo is the busiest railway crossroad in Norway. After stay at the hotel in Oslo I had a flight abroad. I spent only 20 EUR to buy a ticket on Flytoget (shuttle train from the city to the airport) and in 25min I arrived directly to the airport building.
